29 Gateron boxes, 29,000 switches held.

Rip, should've kept my other switch boxes and built an empire with them.

Seeing this many switches (not that we can see any switches at all in those pictures) makes you realise by ordering merely a couple of hundred costs so much.  Bulk discount rulez!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I MUST KNOW.

That is a 50 key model M

Kinda like this

http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9523/subcatid/0/id/474394

but mine came with reledgendable key caps. I had it hooked up to a teensy with soarers and used if for stuff like launching programs and copy, paste shortcuts etc. and a numpad as I was using an SSK at the time.

oh my god I love it. I'd love to do something like that, hooking up a teensy and making like a custom-controller for specific software.

Oh wow thanks for that.

Dude that is so freakin awesome - you must feel like you're in a control-center. Are the /b/ /g/ /x/ 4chan boards?
The custom controller is sick too, cheers for the photos, gives me some good ideas! :D

Yeah I'm a huge fan of HHKB's, feel like a board specific to the software I use could be really useful :D
Experimenting with creating my own PCB + enclosure for a small little controller :3

That sounds pretty cool custom is always good especially when it is tailored to your specific needs.
