Negative Ghost Rider. These are made of Aluminide. It is a mixture of Plastic and Aluminium. The "grain" you see is a sparkle effect from the mix.  The reason sand looks grainy is from the difference in light and color of the each grain. From a distance sand does look grainy, but it only does close up. #Science

Its hard to take Macros of these because of that.
