What is this referring to?

I see a lot of talk of pledging. This was my attempt at a joke. Apparently I did not succeed and I apologize.
Don't apologise, I'm just stupid.  :))

I'm edgy af guise, you guys just can't handle me. OuO

This is how I salute for the pledge, yo.

Yeah. The toll gets to you the longer it goes. That's the dedication and commitment CC meant in his OP.

Would be cool if insta open and insta lock, so max 10 people come in. So people who are really dedicated to this can win RNG. What do you think?

Just cuz someone is slow to post  doesn't mean they are not dedicated enough,  I think the way rng is happening is great at the moment...  Alot of newer members are managing to post..  Which is great as i feel people who don't own a single clack also have a shot in a rng...  Clack is gonna have his hands full all the pending ones hahah much power and luck to him :thumb:

It will be bot land then.

I have been really trying this is my first year.  I don't know how rng will be for me but that is my only hope. After seeing the great things people come up with i can only hope for rng.

Also 420 was hard.  I mean i got my email in at 4.20.00 but i still dint manage it.  I think CV this year was good.  But the last one imo was open too long.

the last one was opened for too long??? LOL, I checked and that was like one of the shortest!

It was opened on "Fri, 22 April 2016, 13:44:04" and closed at "Fri, 22 April 2016, 13:44:54". That was 50 secs man!

However, I can accept it being this short because there was a countdown and everyone should somehow be ready at the time.
If CV window is going to be further shorter, I think only bots or scripts can enter already

I can see why the windows are getting shorter and it is all rng now. He is busy with two sales, with CV being extra hard to keep track of with all the crazy individual keys he digs up from whatever archives + new ones.

I personally only had a chance with warning, but I'd rather see him come through with what he can handle. The whining last year about fulfillment time is all I got to see of CV, and that just sucked.

I'm finding that everytime the CV thread is unlocked and I view it on Tapatalk, it seems to unsubscribe me from the thread. I always make sure that I resubscribed on Tapatalk for this very reason. Maybe that's why you sometimes don't get notifications?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think you should read rule #0 of this year's clackvent:

Quote
0) Open to GH members who registered on or before 12.1.15 and have at least 1 whole post. Phew, I hope that wont be too hard.

Same goes for mrlooolz, who also technically cannot win. And I'm not sure why -musubi keeps replying to the CV thread when it's unlocked, he too cannot win and has already been told by clack that he can't win.

If anything it just makes clack's job at picking a winner even slower and harder. And when he forgets to check what date you registered, people could (and have) won when they shouldn't have been able to.
Please don't post in the clackvent thread if you do not meet the rules laid out by clackman himself!

Rule 0.5 also points to him allowing exceptions to rule 0, so there's that. I don't think I've taken away anyone's else's chance at winning with my wins so far anyways. It's all fun and games anyways!

Lets not pretend its about the rules cause its not but it is a little annoying there are rules and they don't get followed

Why make rules then not follow them? :)

People are allowed to be peeved at this, because it is in a sense bull****. It means anyone who is posting in this CV with an account not old enough to win is just wasting everyones time-- and clearly did not bother to read clacks rules in the first place.

So yea, they shouldn't be allowed to win. Case closed.

If he comes out later saying his rules mean nothing then that's cool.

It's good practice. lol

Let the clack man say it or ignore it.
don't try to thin out the competition.
We new people want all your clacks  :p  :p
Thanks! That is exactly my thinking.  And to clarify I have 0 wins and 0 entries ... So there's that ... Hah

Rule 0.5 also points to him allowing exceptions to rule 0, so there's that. I don't think I've taken away anyone's else's chance at winning with my wins so far anyways. It's all fun and games anyways!
Rules are there for a reason. It's why I didn't edit my first post during the lyrics contest even though I knew my answer was wrong. And I lost that $75 key because of this. But on that very same day, someone else edited their first post and undercut my correct answer TWICE - and yet Clackman allows it. So, it's all very confusing to me :p

I'm finding that everytime the CV thread is unlocked and I view it on Tapatalk, it seems to unsubscribe me from the thread. I always make sure that I resubscribed on Tapatalk for this very reason. Maybe that's why you sometimes don't get notifications?

so err... in the end, it is CC himself who reserves the last rights to either go with or thwart the rules?

I do care about the rules, I mean, that is what keeps things in place and order.
