So, as a newbie still slightly unfamiliar with it all, what would be the best way to get your hands on a bro cap?

Fastest way would probably be to post a classifieds ad on MechMarket saying you're willing to buy a brocap for $1000

Otherwise wait for the next Bro sale like most normal people

I paid $80 for my first Bro,  and still have it. But you'll pay around $40 from a sale,  there's one happening on Monday,  check out the bro official sale thread.

Got my first ever Bro some while ago. Tried it for the first time today and I find it impossible to get it properly seated. There is no click sound as there is from both original Topre caps and to a somewhat lesser extent my clacks and the key is rather loose (will fall off if I put the keyboard upside down). Anyway, it does look rather good:

No Bros that I know of aside from his FNs and gamer sets snap into place. If you want a tighter fit, wrap some tape/plastic around sections of the stem.

Thanks! I would have ended up with 5 Topre ones had I kept the Earthen...the flatness is kind of weird but kind of cool. The luscious hair of the Traditional Cherokey can't be tamed, brah
