Keyboard of the Month - June - Vote
« on: Sun, 11 August 2019, 02:04:49 »
Hello everyone, my apologies for the long long delay in posting this thread. You know when you see something you've put off for ages, and the thought of doing it just get's harder and harder to bear the more you put it off? Yeah that's where I was basically at. So here we are anyway, I'm just going to run the poll for two for June so we can get that out the way, then we can do a nomination thread for July for a bit, then run the poll and get ourselves all back in shape hopefully.

So here are the nominations for June:

Pr0ximity's Whale

Couple more shots here

and SixtyLife's Kingsaver

The poll will still last for seven days, so get your votes in!
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Subtle, and I missed the nomination phase (would have +1 both of these fwiw).

Not an easy choice, but ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Congrats Pr0ximity (by a comfortable margin ...) :)
