I bought a CM Storm Alcor and didn't like the LED colors, except for red, which made me seek for a firmware patch to make all DPI colors into red. Instead, I discovered more than how to modify the firmware, I learned out how to change colors in real time, just like on CM Storm Mizar.

So, I made a little software which puts these discoveries into action. It's quite simple to use, just choose a color (plus LED mode and brightnesss) and click on Apply. To go back to Alcor's normal state, just press Default.

Due to restrictions placed by the firmware, the colors aren't kept when the mouse is restarted, so there's a function for that, "Restore LED Color on Windows Startup", which adds a new task to Windows Startup so that the configurations may be applied again.

I'm not great at leaving things pretty for the end-user, so the interface may be ugly to some, but anyways, I hope this software is useful, not only for Alcor's owners, but for potential owners as well.

Support for CM Storm Mizar was added on 04/04/2016.

Congratulations on a great idea.   :thumb:

That's pretty awesome!

I wanted to do something similar, when I first got an alcor, but switched to a different mouse sooner, than I got to actually do it.
