I guess mine was the first one to arrive?  :p . Some blurry pics incoming. Package arrived safely and I don't see any scratches on the case which is a good thing  :thumb: . Also, free stabs!  :p

buy a solder kit, watch a couple videos and do it yourself  :p the diodes are preinstalled and the smd leds are presoldered, so that's like 50% of the build done for ya.

I understand the busy part, I think it took 2 months to find the time to finish my viper.

Watch some vids before doing it. I did perfectly fine for my viper and it feels like buttery smooth currently.

Just got delivered!  The blue grey case looks incredible and it weighs a ton! 

Since it's my first time doing a custom build (which is the case with a few of us in here), what are the steps that the more experienced builders follow?  Does anyone have a previous build log online that you wouldn't mind sharing?

Just check youtube for soldering videos for Cherry MX keys.  It's not hard.
A good iron helps, but not a requirement.

An hour or so?  I was just into the process and got lost in the fun of making it.  Had the case sitting on the heater to warm up in the mean time, it was frozen taking it out of the box.

That was over a week of nights while watching youtube.  Leds are waiting on the LED and socket GB.  Hoping that they would come in at the same time, but no such luck *meh*

Oh yeah, careful with the metal stickers.  You can bend them very easily if you don't slowly remove them from the plastic.  You can see mine was kinda bent..

My Square arrived today~

Same shot, same settings, same position (almost). Simply a rotation of my polarized filter. :D (Although red turned out brighter in the pic than RL)

Mine was supposed to come today.. but I got the supreme luck of having the US shipper of the package becoming DHL.  I am not holding my breath... they missed today and never fail to disappoint me.  Thanks to the poster above I got the good idea that I can re-spring and lube my switches with the time I had put aside for assembling tonight.  Oh well DHL.

How did you discover this? I was under the impression that USPS was handling the stateside delivery.

DHL suuuuuuucks. :(
