Man, I also was looking at those Geekhack keys :(

I have a question on the grafiti wrist rests: How is the quality on these? Are they too soft? Texture? Tendency to rip/wear? Sorry if the questions are inappropriate, but there's a big one that I'm interested in and I don't know of anyone that own any.

I've bought a bunch of different wrist rest from Grifiti over the years. They're the nicest foam pads that I've tried.
I haven't experienced any fraying of the cloth. The foam maintains its shape over time. (Doesn't get thinner where you rest your wrists.) And they're washable too.

The only issue is that the materials vary depending on what vendor they used for different batches of pads they make. For example, the foam in the Notebook Pad might be different than the one used in the Fat Full-sized Pad. And the newer pads seem to be made out of a thick layer of neoprene, rather than two layers of foam (soft on top, firm on bottom) like in the one I have for sale. The texture of the cloth, logo, and quality of the silk screening also vary depending on what year it was made. I'm sure some of the less popular colors might be older stock. Despite the variation, I've been happy with all of them.

Thanks for your in-depth explanation! I'm actually really specific about these things too! I am currently using a vintage variation 2 Fellowes real gel wrist rest (best thing evarrr.. apart from variation 1) and was curious about how foam wrist rests are, and your explanation helps to explain that foam wrist rests also change in production quality over time :(

The item I had in question is the following:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009LC9KPO/ref=cm_sw_su_dp
From the looks of it, it seems this one is of the newer variation with just one thick layer of neoprene :( Oh well.

GLWS! I can vouch great seller from previous transactions!

Thanks dude :)

Yeah, that definitely looks like one of their newer neoprene pads. I actually like them better than the foam. Firmness is about the same, but it grips the table a little better, and the cloth is a slightly finer weave than previous pads. The only con is that cutting neoprene to size is a little harder and less clean than cutting foam.

Oo~ So the neoprene isn't exactly a bad thing! Hmmm, I see I see.

So there are no good gel pads out there right now? I am not sure of specific s but as long as if it supports my wrists and isnt too hard will be good for me.

Although, you're not supposed to put rigid objects in envelopes and send them like normal letters, I think it's small enough that I can get away with it :P
So $0.45 for a stamp. or $2 for a bubble mailer if you want to play it safe.

EDIT: removed offer. Seems like it's unfair to khaangaaroo to leave it there, although I wish that sellers would advertise selling price after all transactions are completed for reference purposes.

What size are those QCKs?

I think they're the medium-sized ones. I'll add the actual measurements when I get home from work later tonight.

Update: They're actually the QcK mini, not medium. Measurements: 9.8" x 8.3" (250mm x 210mm)
