Ok... Yuktsi is wrapping up group buys right now so he is plenty busy. I am sure he will update the thread with pics soon/whenever he sees fit.

If you don't want to wait then join the norb group buy? This is an IC so you can assume that this will be in the near future. Judging by previous TGR buys you should be able to gauge the qualiy - probably high quality at a reasonable price.

So over on reddit Yuktsi mentioned (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/76azrc/tgr_alice/docn04y/) that he's starting this GB before his ergonomic Alice GB. And he mentioned his plan is to have the Alice GB early next year. I'm guessing we can actually look forward to seeing this GB this year.

I am not sure there are places in Malaysia that cerakote. I think yuktsi tried searching? China factories can do it I think but I am not sure how feasible that would be.

I dont really have any knowledge about cerakoting, so wasnt trying to be a smartass but rather a question of why so many wants it over regular anodizing.

To expand: It's extremely durable; most commonly used on guns. Shows little to no wear after a lot of usage I've heard.

As mentioned it's very durable, but also a ton of color options. There are a whole slew of stock colors and you can also mix to get custom colors. Anodizing is difficult, tricky to generate some colors, and impossible to generate others. Cerakote doesn't have these issues. White, dark blue, true yellows etc are a piece of cake.

Forgive my ignorance here, but what makes a case programmable?

If a converter were to be included inside the case then it would immediately allow the real force keyboard to be fully programmable.
A new controller entirely may also be possible.

The problem is that any attempt to ask questions or request information is met with fanboyish "It's TGR, how dare you ask for details?!" kind of responses.

Having two incoming case options for my Realforce I'd love to be able to compare them before I choose. However, it seems I am not allowed to know anything specific about one of them  :(

Since we have nothing but speculation at this time, I'm going out on a limb to wildly guess that the "programmable" aspect of the case is an internal USB daughter board that will convert the fixed cable to a detachable external port and allow programmability.

Now I just need to convince myself to love my new  RF 87u 55g enough to warrant spending hundreds of dollars on one of these cool cases. So far it's more a feeling of lukewarmness trying it after my favorite capacitive buckling spring.

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of update. The only coordinate measuring machine that I have access to is currently broken. There's no point in posting an exterior only (10 minutes work) without the accurate measurement of the interior. You should expect the board to have a very similar outlook as my previous boards.

I am a big fan of Realforce 87u. I have like three of them somewhere in my wardrobe. Personally, I am not sure if it will feel any good in an aluminum case, I can't imagine. My plan is to have several bottoms made, hopefully, with the right bottom weight, the bottoming will still sound good.

With 910CE finalizing, hopefully, EXENT too. We should expect to see more of it after the lunar new year. I can't promise if there will be any group buy, depending on how the prototype goes. But if it ever going to happen, it should be in April.

Nevertheless, we will be seeing a prototype made in March. I promise  :blank:

If this one is to be ran after Exent GB ends, I predict it to appear around 2022 together with R5 Norbaforce :)

Hopefully I'd be able to find some Vintage hyperspheres by then.

Sorry, but these are only for rubber dome switches. You can swap out the stems and springs, though, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Does the case support QMK and split spacebar?

I don't think they ported QMK to this case yet. However it supports programmable orto/staggered layout and has software-triggered split functionality (including PCB splitting into left/right part).

I know this is still coming soon™™™™™, but can we get word on what Realforce TKL this will support? I'd imagine it would support only the OG 86 and 87u's, but with R2 and three new SKUs looming on the horizon (according to KeyChatter) I wonder if these models will have any influence on Yuktsi's final design or if at all
