Currently I'm using a WASD v1, but I ordedered a Tex Yoda recently, and as long as that keyboard lives up to it's promises, it will be my board of choice.

For the next two weeks, daily driver will be my phone's keyboard. It's not even mechanical!

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Dell Quiet Key

After going through several mechanical switches, I decided to bust out my Dell Quiet Key.
Imagine my surprise when I started typing, it felt like Topre.
Now, I've only typed on 45g Topre, but for some reason, I imagine this is what a 55g might feel like.
It has that tactility, but is quiet and very soothing, almost like a silenced Topre.
It's by far the cheapest board that I own (other than the ML), but I'm strangely drawn to it currently.

I'm back to TypeMatrix 2030 from Kinesis Advantage. I'm torn.

I don't like the kinesis (I need Ctrl and AltGr all the time, but it's too far there), nor do I want to let TM's ABS keycaps shine and the skin makes typing slow. Meanwhile, my ErgoDox is basically work in progress once again, because I've grown tired of MX Clear switches. I don't want to go back to staggered layout either...

G2Pro with clears, still not sure if I like clears or not. I think 62g ergo-clears would be better for me because I actually prefer to bottom out, and with stock clears I don't bottom out much at all.

Yes, it feels better to bottom out in my opinion, hence why reds are my favorite. :) Also, it's quite boring without the sound from bottoming out.

This thread should be titled, 'what keyboards are you using now'. I have three boards I rotate throughout the day, all connected at the same time, as well as a numpad. I just push one back and grab something else depending on work at hand. Coding is usually on the 55g 87U. Documents and extended typing sessions, the HHKB rules the desk. And the 87U variable silent is there when I'm tired or in the mood for more relaxed typing with it on my lap and feet on my desk.

How could I pick just one!!

We have the horrible HP ones at work too. The ones with the silver bits on the top and crappy plastic legs that come out sideways instead of backwards.

I brought my own board in on my second day. I've changed it between my three boards, but I am never going to use a non-mech if I can help it.Especially not for prolonged periods.

Same ones. It's company policy - nothing I can do :) Well... I can, but I work shifts and don't want to leave my keyboard to be spoiled by another. And I don't want to carry it with me...

Hmm... now I think... Maybe I should think about some compact and lightweight mechanic keyboard with tactile and clicky switches? Anyone can advise me in that matter?

They won't let you bring in your own board? What the ****? Surely you can just get it DSA tested and it will be fine? That's what my boss has said, but I'm on shifts as well so I bring mine in with me every day. I use a full size as well so it's a bit awkward with only a small messenger bag.

You could go for a QFR or a Ducky? Don't know how light they are but you can get them with clicky switches for sure.

QFR... well, tenkeyless keyboard - now THATS a thing to consider! Thankee, mate. And yes, you can get in with Cherry Blue. Or something like Poker 2... but that's for maniacs. Personally I'm a fan of Buckling Spring keyboards, but that's a pain to carry around  ;D
