Now you need some pink keycaps to match your mouse :)

Just upgraded to a Ducky YOTS with MX blacks.

I wasn't a fan of the reds but I'm quite liking the blacks.  I thought I didn't like the reds because they were linear but maybe it was because they were just too soft.  Blacks seem just the right stiffness for me, and I'm not missing the tactile feedback.

This is also my first aluminium board, and it's rather sharp - literally as well as figuratively.  I've already taken some skin off with the bottom edge of the luma top.   :))

It's a shame Ducky didn't do a YOTS TKL board.
Collector-of-switches.  Cherry: red, brown, blue, black, grey (linear), green.  Alps: simp./comp. white, comp. blue, Matias.  NMB: white, black.  Futaba: Cherry stem.  Omron: yellow.  Topre: 45g  Various: Apple II+, TRS80 Model 1, C64, Acorn Electron, ZX81 (lol!).

For real. I can't really think of anyone who really would want an HHKB layout over FC660 layout given that it's only one key wider with so much more functionality and (apparently) the best feeling 45g Topres available, unless the appearance was a big deal. Still think that creative and functional > minimalist.

Nice one!

White LED?  They seem to go well with the aluminium case.

First time I have heard of someone injuring themself on the case though :p

White LED, yup.  The picture was taken with the lowest LED brightness too, so those suckers sure show up well.

Maybe no-one else has admitted to hurting themselves on one.  ;D  The base edges don't feel like they've had any machining done to them, so they are quite razor-like.  But it's hard to be mad at this keyboard.  ;)

This is the keyboard I'm currently using at home:

CM Quickfire Stealth with MX Browns and a set of front printed white PBT keycaps of unknown provenance. Given the price, it's probably a set from Banggood? It's not a perfect fit, but only insofar as I had to swap F9 and F12 around. Pretty inconsequential as far as I'm concerned.

Enjoying the PBT keycaps quite a bit.

Work keyboard is a bog standard CM Quickfire TK, also with Browns, that I'm planning to sell/trade/something soon. Probably getting something with Blues for home (or wait for the Novatouch? OR BOTH???) and bringing this keyboard to work.

I stepped up from QPad Mk-50 (Brown) to Ducky DK2108 (also Brown switches)
I had the TTe sports meka to test with Black switches and what i really love about it was that every key was riggid like they were embedded in concrete.

But i plan to send the qpad back because it registers some keystrokes 2-3 times at once.
And with doing that i will change it to black for the mk-50.

Realforce 87UB/55-gram:

Began the day with my K65/MX Red--could not get a feel for this keyboard today, too many typing errors, which was my fault.
Then I switched to my 87UB/55-gram; no typing errors; nothing but the sweet feel of 55-gram Topre key switches.

After 1 year of infidelity, I'm going back to Buckling Springs with my "new" Model M 1391401!

Slowly but surely readapting to strong switches after one year of Mx Blues and Topres... Definitely worth it!

Corsair Vengeance K65/MX Red --> Realforce 87UB/55-gram

I changed the keyboard's elevation to 7/8" (KB base to tabletop), which is a bit more than
double the height when the on-board legs are extended; the additional pitch feels good.
The MX Red is fun to use, but... I ended the day in keyboard Satori: 87UB/55-gram

AT Model F

This thing is fk'n amazing. It makes my Model M feel dull, sluggish, and muted by comparison. I'm told that I still need to try a bolt-modded SSK before making the final judgement call, but I'm having trouble believing it can hold a candle to the Model F.

I dream of one of these fellas with a HHKB layout…

need… kishsaver…

Corsair K65 sans red o-rings

I added red o-rings to my MX Red keyboard and lived with them for one day.  It turns out the o-rings brought
about a considerable, negative, change in feel for me. I removed them today and the keyboard and I are again
working as one. Some love o-rings. I vacillated between using them and had to satisfy my curiosity. In a line
taken and  edited fromTreasure of the Sierra Madre, "O-rings! We don't need no stinkin' o-rings." I prefer
the feel of the switch sans anything restricting its 4mm travel--I, for the most part, bottom-out the majority of
my key strikes. Approaching harmony, emphasis on approaching, with a new key switch is a fine feeling.

Because it warms your heart knowing that any keyset you put on the board will be worth more the the board itself?  I rotate between a kc84 (mx black with R4 SPH), 2 Filcos (both mx black, one with filco doubleshots, other with WoB Cherry doubleshots and white pbt spacebar), and a Type Cover 2, depending on what computer I am in front of/working on/gaming with...

Northgate Omnikey 101.

I finally got around to try and fix my self created issues with the keyboard and understood some of the quirks that comes along with it. The only thing left for me now is to try and get used to the tactility of the keyboard which initially I have to admit was a little harsh on my fingers which were mainly accustomed to linear or Topre switches.

Also, I love the DIP switch functionalities along with some of the cool things restricted to keyboards like this. Swapping of Caps Lock with Control (which mimicks Sun-like layout), Dvorak (which I don't have it enabled currently) and apparently the keyboard will also print the version of its firmware when one holds down both shift keys along with F8.

Nice.  Kind of surprised that you were able to get both the 1.25 and 1u mods for that.

IBM XT with Mac, Linux and Windows using a Hagstrom Electronics converter. Remapped the keyboard to a pseudo Mac HHKB layout using KeyRemap4Macbook and fitted the remapped spots with keys from IBM 122 and Model M boards along with some purchased from Unicomp.

The XT board makes my IBM SSK seem mushy by comparison, and at nearly six pounds, it certainly outweighs my HHKB!

Tried to use my Filco for a little while after just getting used to my HHKB... was like NOPE, and went back to my HHKB promptly. The HHKB backspace and control placement is just too good. I guess I'll set up some AHK script to mimic the HHKB layout, because I still like MX switches.

The same thing happened to me. I would recommend just keep trying to adapt to the difference, after a little while I can now switch seamlessly between the two different layouts.

The code is ok I guess. I need to get some GMK caps for it.

The clears in the code seem to have a different sound than the ones in my ducky, not sure what that is about but they feel pretty much the same.
