I don't think the Novatouch is 55g. Did you get a chance to try the Leopold FC660C at KeyCon? I think they feel very similar to each other.

I'm far from a Topre expert. Felt like 55g to me but I can't be sure. I didn't get to try the FC660C. Topre is always on my low priority when I'm at meetups.

ugghh really makes me miss the food there. The Thai restaurant we had on Sunday was amazing.

The Thai restaurant was superb, I was one damn happy Geeker. I'll be going there again fa sho.

The food was good, but their service was garbage. Bad service makes me so mad

Agreed, service was not excellent, but considering the food, the peeps and the actual restaurant, I had a wonderful time.

That custom phantom was one of the hilights of the custom boards I saw there. So awesome!


@CPTBadAss, the beamspring was a "displaystation" note the XT layout and dark colourway.
The acoustic KB was from a smith corona "ultrasonic" line of typewriters.
I like prototopre a lot too! I think Brother made it.

I sorta want to try 55g topre. I'm sorta liking the 30g I've been using these last few months. Still don't see what all the fuss is about.

For those of you who tried out the Novatouch: Was the typing height about the same as the QFR or did it feel like it was lower profile than that?

You should organize your own! there's lots of keyboard people on GH and DT from Europe. I think it's be a lot of fun.
