A few points.

1. HFO's Grey and L9 are 2 completely different colors: grey vs beige.

2. This is a pastel green, compared to hyperfuse's mint. I'm not gonna claim it's reinventing the wheel or anything, but IRL there should be a visible difference.

3. This purple is significantly brighter than DY.

4. Pretty much no one splits up GMK sets like that, as it tanks resale value.

Getting "close enough" isn't always what people want.

A big part of this hobby in my eyes is building exactly the board you want. I'm not gonna say you can't draw similarities to Hyperfuse Remix, but you can't say they're the same set. Between beige alphas, a more vibrant legend, and a more defined theme, I think this set can scratch a very particular itch that people may have. If HFO alphas and remix mods scratches someone's itch, that's fine, but posting it like this is quite rude.

Oh and not to mention the compatibility differences, novelties, and actual group buy pricing.

Hey everyone, just a quick update.

We've officially got novelties cooking up and I've forwarded kits to Novelkeys to be passed along to GMK for pricing quotes.

I've sent the kits in the OP, a modified base kit without ISO/Numpad, a Numpad+ISO child kit, an "extended" spacebar kit with yellow/magenta bars instead of green, and of course a JP sublegend alpha kit.

Once kits become more finalized, look forward to many more renders! I definitely want people to be able to visualize the set on different colored cases.

Probably not, just personally I prefer the look of the sublegends for this set and I'd hate to give two options and wind up splitting the vote in a sense. Rather just have one option (hopefully) not have issue with MOQ, ya know?

I wouldn't mind seeing a light pastel blue/cyan accent for this set. I think I'd personally prefer it over the yellow one.

This image shows my point.. Look at how much white there is. It is more of an accent color. I think the set should be reversed. Make the white an accent, not the main color.

That's fair, but I think there's a point where one has to make some concessions to work better as a keyset, which I think the beige alphas accomplish.

I agree, this makes it way more usable on many cases because of the beige alphas.
Also, I wouldn't draw looks and attention using this in public while it still remains playful.
The colors are perfect in my opinion!

Edit: I'd personnally like "super" keys in the base kit, and maybe make the numpad a separate kit?

Well maybe not full magenta, but the pink on the Macintosh Plus album is its most striking color and its noticeably more of a red - pink than the pink featured in the renders.

The current pink doesn't look enough like the pink on a can of Arizona Green Tea and for some reason long forgotten, Arizona Green Tea + Windows 98(95?) = Vaporwave

Have you considered replacing the beige with a white? Or at least making it a bit cooler? I think cool works a bit better with pastel colors, and the beige really throws me off.

This might be the most pedantic nitpick of all time (so feel free to ignore it) , but shouldn't the name of the kit be digital dreams? Vaporwave encompasses (I'm not sure if that's the right word...) a nostalgia for the past, when we were promised the utopia of a digital age (which turned out to be false), so that promise is but a dream.
