Depends on the client. Gmail will tell you what time the gmail server receives your message. It still takes any number of time to jump from the gmail server to the outlook/hotmail server. That is why most people that get in are actually on outlook/hotmail email since they are on the same server their latency is next to zero. I tried the outlook email address this time after 10:00:01 to gmail wasn't fast enough last time.

Hmm, well I held my breath and farted just as I hit send.  I think that helped a little.
