IBM Model M - Keyless

Hi all,
Wondering if / how it would be possible to trigger keystrokes off of a IBM Model M without using the keys i.e. just the membrane connected to the logic board?
This does not seem to work just trying to finger the membrane!

If you look at the underside of the flipper, you'll see that there is a small nub. That nub tapping into the membrane in a certain spot is what triggers the keystroke. Maybe you could simulate it with a blunt pointed object of some kind.
