Are the captcha and additional human verification really necessary?

Where did you see captcha, and what is the "additional human verification" you are talking about? Did you have to verify that you were human when registering? Is that what you are saying?
Not really a big deal if that's the case.

There is a captcha when you're making a new post, along with a simple question that you have to answer, but if you're not seeing that I'm guessing that might be only until you reach certain post count / rank.

Since Glissant is a "Full member" he probably doesn't have those verifications, either way its annoying

I wholeheartedly agree that captcha for every post when you are new is ridiculous. I hope someone removes that as soon as they can.

I started a post on this just a few minutes, before I saw this post. I agree about the captchas, that they are annoying, and hard for me to read. I am glad that they apparently go away after you make a certain number of posts.
