Certainly appears that way. Both in Cali, very similar posting style. Was a little bit less certain on it until I saw the page for hocking his keycaps, they look very similar to the stuff Pac was turning out last year.

Guy called Pacifist used to post here. He was generally a bit of an ass and caused a lot of drama. Shortly before "leaving GH" he sold all his Brobots at a massively inflated price. He knew if he came back with his old account people would give him **** so now he's posting under a new account. Someone else can probably chime in on the drama he caused, I tried to stay out of **** with him because I always thought he was a bit of a ****.

Brocaps is a keycap maker that explicitly says not to resell his caps for profit.

pacifist is a teenager or smth, gets into credit-related debt, and sells his brocaps publicly here for 3x markup or something like that.

he promises to leave the community once he sells them off.

BEFORE THAT

he was selling caps that duplicated other capmakers' designs and refused to stop when explicitly asked to.  then he posts a 'costs of keycap making' thread as a passiveaggressive attempt to 'rally' geekhackers against other 'abusively profiteering capmakers'

BEFORE THAT

he would constantly 'cancel' his agreements to buy items in classifieds.  i honestly don't know the details here but that behavior would bd annoying and unnecessary.

he would post an obscene amount of 10-character posts in persumably an attempt to look like a respected elder member of the forums.  this is spam.  spam is annoying

I think that anyone who hasn't caused real harm to the community deserves a fresh start. That counts druger out. Pacifist never did anything other than piss people off. I don't class that as real harm.

He's realised his mistakes, and if you look at his posts under MGH you'll see someone trying to be a part of the community, someone who isn't getting people's backs up.

I think it probably would've been best to just continue as Pacifist with a new attitude, but I can understand the reasoning behind just making a new account.
