Yes, the ‘’ and “ ” keys are there for OG accuracy as well as to provide basic ISO support in the base kit.

Additionally, I apologize for the lack of updates. I've been working on the set during my free time, but its just taking awhile for me to get everything just the way I want it in the ePBT template. The template they gave me was pretty scuffed so I've been busy fixing things like alignment with the existing legends, the size of legends, etc. I also had to create new Hiragana and Cyrillic sublegends because they were unable to provide the existing files for those.

That said, this set is obviously not going to run this year. Im hoping to get the template completed sometime this month, at which point I'll share the final design here and ask for samples to be made. I'm hoping for a late Q1 or early Q2 2021 GB - but it heavily depends on when I get the samples and if I need to make any adjustments.

On the set design, the special modifiers—those with arrows—may be included in the base set, and the mods with standard legends moved to a subset. Having the original modifiers in the base-set would make it more authentic and faithful to its original.

Hello everyone! I finally finished mocking up the set in the ePBT template (hopefully) and added an image of it to the first post. I spent a lot of time fixing issues with alignment and legend placement, probably too much time, but I finally got to a place where I was happy with the way things looked. I created new Hiragana and Cyrillic legends for this set, fixing some issues that I had with the existing legends and taking into consideration feedback provided by Konstantin and others. I've said it many times before, but this time I actually mean it: further changes are locked. Of course, if there is some major oversight, I will gladly fix things accordingly.

Furthermore, a few EU folks have expressed concerns surrounding additional fees/charges with ProtoTypist being the EU proxy. I spoke with Jae not long ago on this, and things still seem up in the air as to how finalizing the separation from the EU will impact this as negotiations are still in progress. I'm obviously hoping that things work out well, but I will continue to keep an eye on things.

That's it for updates. I sent the completed template to KBDfans and I am awaiting next steps. I am hoping to get samples made soon so I can check out the new legends in person and check them against the original Xerox keycap colors.

Sorry, I almost missed this. I'm keeping the OG modifiers in the novelties kit. I would definitely keep them in the base kit if this set was a replica set, but that's not really what it is. If this was a DCS Alps set I would probably go that direction. Lastly, I think a lot of people would prefer the more Cherry style icons, the 6085 ones are a little out there.

That's fair enough. I am in the minority that prefers actual OG's replica sets, but I admire the detail you put into getting the legends accurate, particularly the accents on the NordeUK set. Kudos for a good job.

Update: after taking another close look into kitting, and with additional feedback (thanks again, Konstantin), I made a few small adjustments:

• Added 1.5u "Super" keys
• Changed second 1u "Ctrl" to "Code"
• Changed removed 1.25u "Menu"
• Added 1u R4 "=" to the numpad kit
• Added additional 3u space to spacebar kit

In other news, I have placed an order for prototypes with KBDfans! They quoted me roughly a month turn around time - I'll keep you all posted.

• After numerous requests for an EU vendor, I'm happy to announce that mykeyboard.eu has agreed to be a vendor for this set. Proto-Typist will remain as a vendor for the UK.

I would, but there isn't really an added benefit other than having an extra 6.25u spacebar. Without the base you can't really fill out any boards with the alphas + some other kit alone. And the color of the alphas won't pair with any other sets, so it's not like you could buy just the alphas and expect them to match some other epbt set.

Well, 1$ more or something like this. But because 6085 doesn't offer a full alternate mod kit it's useless to have a spacebar in the alt alpha kit.
