dear spacelord please win me a spaceman

Did you just now create an account to pray to the spacelord?

An apt time to be doing so.

Don't forget the shrine!

We will find out today if all this praying actually pays off! :p

Retraction: The information below does not actually apply to KK caps. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

Also, fun fact for those of you who might up getting topre, but wanted MX.

TIL, apparently, topre stem caps can fit on MX stems. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or if this is just a weird thing with this particular cap.

I just found out with a topre keycap that was an given as an extra in the most recent KRAP sale. I wouldn't put it on a key that I use frequently or on a board that travels ... but if it's just sitting on your desk, it should work just fine. It is able to move side-to-side a bit, but it's surprisingly snug.

Just sharing because I didn't know it before just now and I likely would only somewhat reluctantly have bought a topre cap.

This is unlikely to work for KK caps, as they typically have a crossbar added for extra support (between the two halves of the topre cap stem).  Unless they've changed that since I last received caps from them.

I just looked up the topre keywalas and you are absolutely right. As an MX user, I haven't handled very many topre caps, so I wasn't aware that the could come with different stems.

They're not necessarily different. All topre stems will fit on all topre keyboards, it's just that some artisan makers choose to (rightfully so, because urethane is brittle) to reinforce the topre stems with either a cross bar, or thicker stem walls, or both.

They're only ever different on artisan caps.  Some artisan caps suffered from broken stems during shipping or after excessive removal, so many makers started bridging the stem for added stability.  They've each got their own "flavor" or style to how they accomplish this, and many consider it to be rather disrespectful to make a stem mold copied straight from their own design/cap.
