I loved the mods, but have no topre to use them with, and don't know if they would even consider an mx set of mods (which could be amazing given their choices in colors)

I would have said mod kits as well, but I know Kudos said he wouldn't ever do them again, so I went with Furt. I would love mod kits again, I got a partial kit today, with another partial coming tomorrow, but I still need like 4 or 5 keys for a complete RF set (not all the same color, but I don't mind).

In-laws are in town and I'm going to need to take a several hour break.

Thank you, Kudos and Koala-T, for this awesome way to celebrate your first year. As I said, it's your birthday and you're sending us presents. It's been a lot of fun (though, I feel a bit stalkery for knowing all of these details about your life. lol.)

I'll probably miss the caps I was gunning for, but good luck everyone and remember, folks ...

When the competition interrupts your flow of logic LOL

Okay
I've looked at both pictures on IG
The wording KK used signifies that THEY will be posting #kk1year in THEIR old post to bring it up on the hashtag page so people will be able to access the pictures easier than searching through their profile.

It then says "be the first to answer to win a prize"
It has no mention that the answer needs to include the tag.

I think I may be the only person who has both lost a cap because I forgot to post the hashtag and the only person who "should" have one a cap because I remembered a hashtag when the quickest answer didn't.

It's their birthday and they are giving US presents. Let's just have fun and not get too bent over logistics.

Hey, if I were being shady. It would be much more apparent.

I was trying to see if anybody could point me to the original rules where it said that you needed the hashtag.

I haven't won/lost out on anything personally because of it so I have no reason to be upset.

Other people were getting a little upset so it made me curious and I wanted to try and find the rules.

You're absolutely right. I was totally sure that I had specified the rule somewhere. My apologies for the confusion.

I will be rewarding prizes to both recipients in posts where the decision was ambivalent. With that said, could aaron on IG please send me a PM?

Moving forward, effective immediately. No hashtags will be necessary to include in the answer on Instagram.

Sorry for the confusion everyone.

I won't be participating in this competition officially, but I needed to answer this question.

I want to iterate the 'Topre blanks' mod set are NOT acceptable now we all know what KK are capable of  :p I need my triple shot w/ encapsulation set   Seriously though, I would love a mod set but I am sure that someone else on the community can make some. Your talent needs to stay bleeding edge!

Maybe it's because I've been at work all day but I have no idea how instagram ties into the give away, maybe I'm super dense today. BUT, super awesome that KK have the time and resources to do this! I already feel lucky enough to my fair share of their designs so good luck to the rest of you.

This would be my first experience with you guys. As soon as I saw you guys design the Keywala, I knew that I'd like anything that you guys had. The only thing I could think of for you guys to improve would just be to even better your skills at artisans! They're amazing and will only get better.

First experience was wishing I had a HHKB to get a set of the mods when they first came out. I remember longing for a set of those forever. I liked your passion for putting out koala-T (sorry I had to) artisans, and clean blanks. I think you guys are doing a great job, don't really have any suggestions I can think of right now.

My first experience was with snackeys I was able to get into the round 1 waiting list! It was awesome. I should have bought more but I decided against it. I was gonna buy two sets of water melon and dragonfruit but I don't know why I didn't go for blood orange or snozzberry. I didn't go for two sets because I didn't really want to hoard the caps. I thought the caps were amazing quality and it was such a great sale. I'm not really sure what you could do better, I wouldn't say more caps because you guys produce so many. I think the special caps really give a good special feeling to whoever wins and the encapsulation is so cool. I'd say just to keep doing what you are doing and don't rush your work!

My first experience was the HHKB mods, I didn't participate but it was a very fun to keep track of. I love seeing it put on people's HHKBs.

I like how enthuastic you guys are. I like your motivation into exceeding your previous achievements in such short span of time.

Improvements can always be made in terms of casting considering even now it's already very professional. Maybe you can look into packaging as well.

My first experience with KK was when I got a green trans meowcap for my wife, but it would not fit on her rosewill keyboard (the case interfered)  I'm not sure if they are slightly taller now, but that would be all it would take to remedy the situation.  Her purrkey fits her board just fine however :)

As for what I like, everyone has their own styles of keys, but even the little skeletons made for the furts and kill-wallas are adorable, and each have wonderful amounts of detail.  The collaboration work with boop was simply outstanding, and someday I'll get my hands on one of those as well (my wife can't have that one)

My first experience was on reddit's mech market. I had just started getting into keyboards and keycaps, and saw a post by KeyKollectiv. I opened it up on my phone (was doing fieldwork that day) and saw they were selling SnacKeys. I didn't realize how uncommon they were at the time, so I only PMd them for a Watermelon SnacKey in MX. I was fast enough and managed to get it. It was my first real artisan (sorry, HKP  :( ).

I liked how polite you guys were as I messaged you, since I was really clueless about the whole thing. Your invoices also have a kick-ass logo.

I honestly can't think of anything you could do better. Your multiple-day raffles are extremely fair, your prices are even better, and everything ships almost instantly (seriously, how many "gnomes" do you have?). And with a new release every month or so there are so many possibilities to win new caps from you guys. I love it!

My first experience was the Snackeys! I loved what you were doing with the encapsulation technique, and then when I saw the kill-walas, it cemented my need for your caps!

I love that your signature is things with multiple layers, and the 'creepy' twist that Kudos adds to Koala-T's cute ideas!

The kosmonavt is my first design of yours, and it shows me that you guys can produce amazing work alongside other makers, so I'd love to see you do a collab with my other favourite maker, Binge!

To be better, just keep pushing yourselves towards more technical and artistic breakthroughs!

My first experience was actually GL1TCH3D's tricked out HHKB that was up for sale in early/mid December and trying to discern what on earth those mods were and where they came from. After that came a bit of research, skimming posts, a couple of raffle losses, and finally a win with komonavt. It's certainly been interesting catching up on the backlog of blog posts and the whirlwind journey that has been only 1 short year of KK! Looking forward to seeing the new projects you have coming :).

1. First experience was when you guys first started making meowkaps and posted them on reddit for the first time.

2. I like the unique designs you guys come up with. Every key has been unique from the previous one, while still maintaining your signature look. I also like the little hints you guys give before big reveals.

3. To be better, i would say you need to make more furts and keywalas! In seriousness, you guys give off great vibes and are always kind :)

My first experience was when I saw your fruit keys start popping around the internet and I thought, "Hey, those look pretty cool! Never seen anything like that..." and after that I got to your blog and started reading about your guys' entire adventure. Pretty cool to have it documented in such detail, minus the huge gap from March 2015 to September 2015 XD

I like that you guys' work together as a team, and also as a couple, kind of cheesy but it's cool! And also that you guys are pushing new boundaries in the actual science and implementation behind resin casting, encapsulation, etc.

For the future, I think maybe letting me win a raffle? Haha jk, it would be nice but maybe implement something that gives a greater chance to newbies to win (yeah it'll be hard, people make new accounts, etc.) but its definitely been a struggle for me and I'd assume newbies to the artisan scene since I like your guys' caps so much but can't seem to get any (except the ones I've won today, really excited! :D)

Winner will not be chosen based on speed of reply! Winner will be chosen by RNG. We will not tally responses until 15 minutes from this post!

For a set of sour Keywalas in MX (GatOrange/Ecto-Cooler):

First experience was a mixup in SnacKey orders, where I received someone else's stuff instead of a fruit basket. Kudos handled it amazingly well and it turned out just fine. My favorite thing about KK is how humble you guys are despite being so highly regarded by so many people. Something I think you guys can do differently would be to try out as many different kinds of sale fulfillment as possible (i.e. raffles/email/fcfs/clackvent style). Raffle sales may be fair (debatable), but it gets pretty disheartening when you miss your fourth KK raffle in a row. Also, don't be afraid to strut your stuff!
