I wanted to chime in with a few comments. Furst, I wanted to thank you guys for your enthusiasm and perseverance. As a fan of cryptography, I can definitely appreciate the desire to share the findings we come up with. However, we do understand that different people enjoy puzzles like these differently.
Initially, we wanted to create a series of challenges that would reward the fans that wanted to engage and participate. Because of that, our approach was meant to be subtle. We understand that there were very few details introduced-- so interpreting these challenges as teasers/spoilers is a natural assumption.
We wanted to leave things open-ended and let the people participate in the manner they wanted. Obviously, we needed to rethink our approach. In an effort encourage the spirit of these challenges, we have decided to release more details about this event. So here it is:
- This challenge will take place over the span of the next few weeks
- It will be made up of several segments. Each segment will yield a message/clue
- When we conclude, we will ask participants to submit their entries. Any entries sent before we announce the end will not be considered
- You will have 1 chance to submit your answers
- There will be rewards for completion. These awards are very limited so please consider this when sharing information amongst each other
Lastly, we understand that spoilers are unavoidable. As such, we will make modifications to the challenge so that images/sound files will only help to advance progress rather than giving details of the nature of the next sale. We ask that participants be respectful of one another. Godspeed.
