been a long time that i didnt update this thread and putting up so much stuff in my instagram. Will try to update more photos of more sculpts probably since xmas is coming and i would be away from my stuff and only have time to sculpt  :))

Tried to squeeze 1 whole dragon in a 1u cap. hope it looks good casted and will survive moulding...

its basically making 2 caps and casting it separately. Like the picture below, when you cast the 2 caps, fuse them together to make it one complete cap. this way you can have a clean separation on colors and effects. You can use resin as a bonding agent for the 2 parts.

Right now i have brain and fetus to out in the head. didnt put too much detail in the base cap as it would always be trans color and details usually get lost for trans colorway :D

But this is just something i quickly thought off and not really part of the official krap family yet :-p

its actually making 2 keys and just bonding them together. so i have 2 moulds, 1 is the top part with all the details. 2nd part is just a square cap with the stem switch. just fuse them together and make 1 cap.

The tricky part is making sure the bottom cap is small enough to go inside the 1st cap and have an exact measurement so that no gap would be seen after bonding.

yeah v2 and v3 is just a polished v1 master. V3 is the elder version removing the corners where air can be trapped but after demolding, it broke too. So the v4 chibi (current one) was made from scratch but im not quiet happy about how it looks so im just doing test casts with it :D

I'v been lurking for a while now and I wanted to know what kind of resen you use to cast your caps. Also do you recommend cleaning the mold before every cast?

no cleaning needed as it would just be one solid resin once its cured. Just take it out and it should be ready to accept new resin to mould.

My resin is an unbranded one bought locally in Malaysia cause the smooth on brand here is very limited and expensive as hell. The one i use is a water clear resin when cured without pigment and a long setting one if thats what youre asking  :thumb:
