Title: Cotton Cozies - For your hot/microwaved bowls and Chemex pourover

First I'd like to say that this is a rather unorthodox item we've available, but after using one for a few months with our Chemex brewed coffee and hot soups I'm happy to announce that HWS will be offering this neat homemade item.

What is it?

The cotton cozy for hot bowls/chemex pourover is a 100% cotton, individually sewn, filled insulating and microwave safe pad for insulating to contain heat and protect against burns.

How does it work?

Simply put it's like a lightweight mit that is shaped specifically for bowls.  The cotton is not combustible in a microwave (So long as it is clean.  Food can burn and catch the cotton on fire) so you can pull out freshly cooked items without burning yourself.  When it comes to pourover coffee I find that insulating the bottom of our Chemex keeps the brew more consistent by regulating the temperature of the glass.

How do I keep it clean?

Wash with cold water and pull to shape.  Hang to air dry.

How much are you asking for them?

I'd like to get $8 + shipping. 

Who makes these?

My mother in law, Widgie's mum, has a blast sewing and loves working with designer fabrics which have bright and exciting colors.  These look really neat.

I have a Chemex, I use it everyday... That thing is awesome. I would love one of these cozies for it.

You have quite the set-up!  Coffee definitely makes the office feel more like home ;) 
I think that is one of my favorite color cozies- Thanks for the photo.  It looks great!
