DONE!
« on: Sat, 06 February 2016, 10:55:48 »
Whew!

2 cubic meters have been sent out in over 80 packages.

2 cubic meters have been disposed of, or are being disposed of.

1 cubic meter will be retained.

Over $2k spent in shipping.

I still can't believe my folly in accumulating so many unnecessary things.

Some mistakes were made along the way, but I hope nothing too serious.

I'll take a long, long break and be back sometime... whenever I need to post HELP for some DIY project in my shambles of a house...

hey Henz

did you get that message about me possibly selling some jailhoused keyboards in future? Let me know; everything I have is US ANSI or UK ISO though.

anyway thread updated with second photo that shows TWO bluetooth dongles. nubbi has dibs on the smaller dongle since it's in the first photo.

Second photo's boxed dongle will be taken out since no way to send internationally for $3 otherwise. As you can see, box is old anyway.

Hey come on man guys

eight people contacted me about the stuff, but only nubbinator has paid the shipping and given his address.

I want to get rid of the stuff, so that I can do more small giveways! Just pay the shipping!

guys

for those who want to do combined shipping of multiple items, sorry no.

I'm going to give 1 thing per person per few weeks. IE if i've just given you something, it will be at least 2 more weeks before I let you take something else.

Phase 2 is coming in a couple more days if I can move at least 1 more of the above items. Someone take those darn cigs!

Tracking posted for everyone except harlw.

Sorry harlw, it turns out the $3 that you and nubbinator paid for SD card and bluetooth dongle respectively wasn't enough to cover tracked shipping. So I tossed a coin, and sent the bluetooth dongle tracked. Your SD card isn't tracked. But if you don't get it within 40 days, let me know and I will refund!

shipping
« Reply #24 on: Thu, 25 February 2016, 00:55:55 »
Good News Everyone, shipping costs have been slashed by over half!

I am going to ship everything by sea mail.

I am targeting to ship on April 18 and on May 2. I need the weekend to pack the boxes.

This is one of the world’s greatest ports. 9% of all international trade moves through Singapore. Sea mail is fast and safe from here.

Officially they say 4-17 weeks. Unofficially, it is only 3 weeks from Singapore to a major port city like Tokyo or Rotterdam. From there the speed varies. If you live in Slovakia a sea mail package will have to pass through Germany and the Czech Republic by barge and rail, so it’ll be much slower than if you live in New York.

Sea mail is reliable, but the timing varies based on the logic of international logistics. EG if you live in Latvia your package is going to sit in some London dock until there is a ship heading for Riga. They will not load your package on a daily flight to Riga. In contrast if you live in London your box will be processed very fast.

If you’re checking on the Singpost.com website, 1SG= 0.72 USD aka 1USD = 1.38 SGD.

All costs include international tracking but not insurance.

1)   All shipping now standardized: minimum 500g box. I will send all keycaps in boxes to prevent crushing.

2)   A good quality 10kg box weighs 2.4kg, so you can only ship 2 large Model Fs in that box but will have plenty of room for freebies.

3)   You can get a big box to hold 3 Model Fs that weighs only 1.1kg, but it is really flimsy. This option is only if you are buying stock keyboards from me. I am not sending my modded stuff in lousy boxes.

4)   You can realistically ship 3.9kg in a 5kg box, 1.55kg in a 2kg box, 0.75kg in a 1kg box.

5)   Note: It sometimes costs more to ship to Malaysia than to other countries. The post office says it’s because Malaysia doesn’t have the benefit of sea freight rates.

133728-0

How to use the tracking number:

Many countries have random customs inspections which can cause 1-4 weeks in delays. If tracking shows it arrived in your country but no further info, usually that means stuck in customs. Asking me to pester customs for you is useless. They will release item when they feel like it. In hundreds of packages I sent, none has ever been lost at the customs stage. It is probably the safest stage because they won’t steal your stuff.

I have sent a $260 Topre to Bunnylake UK marked as a $20 gift via Speedpost Standard, and customs gave us no trouble. I have sent $500 worth of stuff in a huge box to Dorkvader USA marked as $20 gift via Speedpost Economy, also no issue. YMMV.

When I give you a tracking number for under 2kg, it should be used on the Singpost.com.sg website. Items over 2kg use Speedpost.com.sg website. Do not use Speedpost.com without the country code! Once the item is marked as having arrived in your country, you must use the same number on your domestic post website. Singpost/Speedpost cannot track anymore.

TRADES

I know some of you are strapped for cash, and some of you have keycaps that my kids may like. The kids have their own ANSI Rosewill to play with.

I will accept trades or partial trades for my stuff.

You can only offer Cherry MX blanks, or complete Cherry MX ANSI keysets. TKL or Fullsize doesn’t matter.

Must not be anything I have listed for sale (obviously). Must not be Chinese made. I have bought and sold and still have too many Imsto and Vortex and Tai Hao to list, so no novelty for the kids.

Preferably should be brightly coloured or have strong colour contrast. The kids hate Gray and don’t care for pebble or slate colours. (Hint: I have been selling Massdrop Granite sets.)

Blanks are ok, weird patterns and colour schemes are ok, vulgar or sexual legends are not. No references to dope or marijuana allowed.

Keysets valued at 75% Group Buy price if nearly new/ new, 50% Group Buy price if used. I or my US proxy shipper must receive the keysets before we ship from our end.

Really impressive collection :D

I'm interested in a few project boards but as I've gotten in on one of your cheap items I can wait for others to have a shot.

If you find it more convenient for you, I would consider being a US proxy, I have the storage space and my office is a block from the post office and three from a mail center (they service multiple shipping vendors). 00zeRO lives nearby, perhaps he would want to help too?

WEY HK-2000

I have iss, Ba777, lolpes, gamer179, geniekid all interested in the same 2 sets of WEY. They want to buy 8 sets between them!

Lolpes may get his because he wanted to buy one $70 keyboard also. But he wanted a free board too. It isn’t that big an order when $70 is one of the cheapest keyboards. I’m gonna wait till end of week to process all orders anyway.

I want to move as much of my stuff as possible. If you guys have seen my Group Shots Album, my home http://imgur.com/a/SmIFd is already nightmarishly overcrowded. I have to move many boxes every time I want to get to one item. So I prioritize all large orders.

As I said on my opening post, get with your friends, one person pays, one address given, and have me send a ton of stuff in 10kg boxes. Easier for me, cheaper for you. Surely there are many things on my threads you want - just browse.

holy crap youre one of the few with the scarface sets. I was looking for blank aluminums awhile ago but sad to say they aren't a part of any plans anymore. GLWS though, and also a huge fan of berserk as well :)

I notice that armagedda is now listing zinc blank keycaps - at a higher price than me...

Could you give a quoting for shipping 1 or 2 boards and some keysets to Germany?

Also you listed 'Buckling Spring keycaps: Full set Green on White keycaps $30'. Is there really a green on white set? If yes what is the Black on Green set in the pic and is it complete?

I urge everyone to combine with friends for bulk shipping. 10kg is only $99, far better than 1kg $28.7.

Green on white are Unicomp here

The black on green set you saw, is an olive green set I dyed.  :p

I may have pilfered one of the return keys to supply another keyboard, that's why I dare not sell the black on green set. It's part of the stuff for free to buyers. I did so many bolt mods and ANSI mods, that I kept running out of ANSI return keys, alt and ctrl keys. Must have bought from Unicomp 3x.

NEW UPDATE 4/4/16  http://imgur.com/fFjugwD

Cherry WOB Doubleshot Premium Bags $80, 6 available:
Each Premium Bag is formed by COMBINING 1 full ANSI G80-8200 set and one full ANSI G81 set. Please look at picture here. http://imgur.com/FtXNHBZ  http://imgur.com/BcDExLe  http://imgur.com/vNu4nnq  http://imgur.com/xpsKns6  http://imgur.com/57pUBlm
You get 2 of everything. However: 1 set has relegendable function and tenkeys, 1 set has doubleshot. 1 set has Stepped off-center caps lock, 1 set has Center stemmed flat caps lock. The MY set comes with bottom row incompatible keycaps, so there is only 1 usable bottom row in each Premium Bag.
The remaining original blank relegendables have been packed off together. You can request for a handful. Free.

Cherry WOB Doubleshot Premium Bags $50, 3 available:
Formed by combining 1 G80 and 1 G81 set. Exactly the same as the Premium bags, but they are missing a few keycaps which were used to fill the Premium Bags. You are guaranteed over 200 keycaps with at least 1 full set of all 1u keycaps. However sometimes the doubleshot function keys are incomplete so you need to use the relegendables. Or one of the modifier keys is missing. Great value, but not for the fussy.

The sharp eyed may note that the MY set is new/nearly new and the G80 set is used. This photo is representative of all their conditions. All MY sets are new/ practically new. All G80 sets show signs of use, but not much shine. So I have retained them in separate zip lock bags.

All the 9+9 sets of Cherry WoB doubleshots are in the 3 boxes in the ownership photos. What’s outside the boxes are:

SP DCS WoB Doubleshot 104key ANSI, 1 set, slightly used. $30.

SP DCS WoB Doubleshot TKL ANSI, 1 set, slightly used, $25

WYSE keycap set moogle for ANSI, 1 set, new. $18

SP DCS BoW modifier set for ANSI, 1 set, new. $18

SP DCS random blanks, grab bags of over 250 each. Free.

Poker II white on gray PBT set, slightly used, $10.

DCS White Blanks, new, at least 20, $10

SA white Blanks, new, at least 20, $10

SA dark coloured blanks, new, at least 20, $10.

Hengyu relegendables, flat and square. Used, at least 40. Free.

Raindrop blue on white random grab bag, new, at least 20 keycaps. Free.

Chinese made lasered mint green PBT keycaps, 1 set, new, $5.
