What macro lens would you guys suggest for a nikon d7100?

It all depends on how much you want to spend.  Here's four good recommendations.

http://www.cameralabs.com/lenses/lens_buyers_guide/Nikon_Nikkor_lenses/Which_close-up_lens/Which_Nikkor_Nikon_macro_close-up_flower_insect_lens.shtml

The more money you spend the better your pics will be with Marco, IMO.  What you get for your money is a bigger aperture, and the ability to shoot 1:1 from farther away, which allows for more lighting options.  Essentially, the cheaper your Macro lens, the closer you have to get to the subject, which is bad because you will block your light.

Keep in mind that for macro shots you will definitely need a tripod, so get one of those.  Also for macro photography you will need some good lighting.  The best being a ring flash.

Here is the best middle-of-the-road Nikkor Micro (Macro) lens, IMO:

With macro if you want a decent DOF you'll find yourself past f11 so you need LIGHT

Ok thanks for the tips. I'm still very new to DSLRs, just been taking pictures with the stock lens. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad.  :p

Pictures like these are not helping.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Everyday I'm blown away by this little device tbh. Being able to play PSP games and San Andreas on my phone wtf? 4k video and picture wtf? The same screen resolution as my monitors at home wtf? Incredible man.

Awesome. So much money is put into the development of smartphones these days. Good to see them push technology forward.

How much has the resolution of your desktop monitors increased in the last 5 years?
