Cherry KINA-6256 60%

Cherry Kina-6256. Since it was made at Waukeegan, it is a specialty keyboard and not sold as a regular product. Looks like these were a special order from Xerox. It probably has MX judging from the keycaps (which look a lot more like SP and are not fine Cherry type) but I don't know for sure since it's the first time I'm seeing this thing. It could have some other M* switch. Has kind of a HHKBesque layout with more funkiness. RJ11 type connection, likely it speaks some terminal protocol. Nevertheless a pretty cool one for Cherry collector.

Wasn't the MX switch introduced in 1984 ? The green sticker on that thing says 12/73...

Oh, I saw this. It's been re-listed at least once. The crazy stagger of the bottom row is wacky as well.

Also, I think it might be KXNA.

I see the 12/73 on the xerox logo, but I'd be more willing to believe the 8919 on the cherry logo. Last I checked cherry didn't have many KB's in 1973, nor xerox computers (1973 did see the xerox alto, but it didn't use this KB. I think it may have used honeywell hall effect.)

I don't think that has anything to do with a date in any way. If it was that old it would be at least twice as thick and would have spherical keycap for certain.
