Neighboring keys activated on firm keypress
« on: Tue, 11 August 2020, 05:20:50 »
Hi guys. Complete noob here.  Wanted to dive head first into mech keyboard assembly and purchased a KBDFANS DZ60RGB ANSI V2 HOT SWAP DIY KIT. There were a few bumps along the way but now I have something that _almost_ works, however, there is still an annoying issue. When I type a '5', '6', '7', or a 'u' with considerable force, it registers the correct key, but also registers 'yhn' simulataneously, e.g. if i press '6' with some force, it types '6yhn'. I've tried treating it as chatter and tried blowing into the affected switches, but to no avail.. Any advice would be appreciated.

This might be due to flex of the PCB. Pull the caps and, using the eraser end of a pencil, press on the PCB at various points & see if you can get any keys to activate. As a remedy you can put something (rubber, foam) under the PCB to reduce/eliminate flex.
