Where do you guys buy your keycaps?

I'm looking to get all new keycaps for the board in my signature. Possibly a yellow theme, white/red theme or a more vintage white theme. Then I'd like some "special" keycaps here and there, like logos and stuff. How much are the CC skulls that most of you use as your esc key?

Thanks,
~ Gunni

There are several Group Buys in the forums right now that might be of interest to you, but if you're looking for vendors, then I'd say check out the KEYCAPS SITE LIST.

I'm liking the look of keypop.net and gasmaskkeycap.com for individual keys, do you have any recommendations for full keyboard keycaps?

Thanks.

KeyPop's great!

gasmask - good luck getting in on those - their sales tend to happen at 2am Aussie time, like last time with the translucent ones.

For full sets, it will depend on what you want.  ABS, PBT, POM?  TKL or full set?  Blank, side-printed or top-printed?  Colour?  Any oddities like non-standard space bar?

Usually it is easier to browse around group buys, classifieds and various vendor sites and find a set that you like the look of, then determine whether it is compatible with your keyboard.

Positive.  I remember seeing pre-orders for several of the caps, they may have had limited numbers of pre-orders or something.

EK green pad printed set:

I like this picture because there is too much flash, but the colour is really nice:

Without flash it looks like this:

IRL colour is about half way between the two.

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Only the coolest key cap ever  :thumb:

(Attachment Link)

I'm going to picture you looking like that from now on.

Just ad a beard and a unibrow.

Ray, you get the keycaps I sent you yet?

Yes and they are awesome  :thumb:

If I had an entire keyboard of these and the case flocked as well I'd use it as a pillow  ;D

It looks pretty much identical when I compare it to my monitor here at home.  The other photos with the miami were a little harsh contrast wise.

Soware =/= R4 Retro.  Soware has good contrast.

Soware =/= R4 Retro.  Soware has good contrast.

SoWaRe has good contrast until you get to the RGB text on the shift, control, and alt keys. It really needs neon shades of those colors so the entire board pops.
