As much as I love the look of my Commando Set I just can't get used to the profile. I forced myself to type on it for over a week, but it still feels so unnatural compared to Cherry Profile.

As much as I love the look of my Commando Set I just can't get used to the profile. I forced myself to type on it for over a week, but it still feels so unnatural compared to Cherry Profile.

I wasn't sure that I would like it either, which is why I'm only now just putting them on a board. However, I'm surprised how much I do like them. I suppose my fingers are just remembering my first keyboard, the C=64 and sense memory is kicking in.

Decided to put the Commando 23 key cap set on my daily driver and I'm really digging the profile AND the look of these keys.

   - MX-Black Switches
   - iMav Black plate
   - Lubed and Stickered (Black)
   - Hammer 60% case in titanium anodization
   - An abundance of dust, hair and general keyboard filth (as evidenced by the photos) 

A Poker X with blacks, nice, how do those caps / switches feel compare with stock blacks? Did the caps make them to feel different?

They sound much more muted than the Round 3 (SP DCS) caps I had on before and "thicker", but I don't find them any more difficult to type on. It's definitely a different profile and if you're used to Cherry, then I can see where this would be a bit of an adjustment. I grew up on the Commodore, so it feels a bit more like home.

Also, I don't seem to bottom out quite so much like I do on the other profiles. Maybe that's the weight of the key cap, the profile, a combination of both? I don't know.

I like those blue legends on that set! It's like the brother/sister board of mine which has red Hangul. That T2 is lookin' great on there too. If I get non-lazy anytime soon, I'll try to do the same thing where I put my white legend GMK RGB + one Green T1 on the Pause key

Haha tyvm bro! Your board is one of the best looking filcos around and I'm honored to have it's blue-lettered sister sitting on my desk. Maybe I'll get a red cable or something to make those colors completely opposite )

I'm seriously loving the ergos—I haven't even lubed them yet! Definitely the best MX switch I've tried so far. I used a couple F-keys to experiment with lubing and they feel even better! Nice and tactile, yet smooth. Before I lube all of them, though, I think I'm going to get some 55g springs from originative, and test those out since I've heard that they're awesome for typing.

Anyway, thanks for such great inspiration! I really love this thing

Today, I just added a new Cherry Red ESC key to my favourite G80-1800 board with a frankenstein keycap set mixing between German Cherry thick PBT and US Cherry thin PBT.

* The laser etched quality from Cherry is good, isn't it?
Besides, I can't tell the difference between thin and thick PBT when I mixed between these two sets. Their sound and key feeling are the same to me.

I paid $85 shipped, a pretty decent price. Didn't even need to clean them. ANSI dyesubs are more expensive.
