Swapped out some of the DE-ISO Cherry dyesubs for some ANSI Cherry dyesubs... Decided to let a few of the ISO-DE ones stay because they are more appropriate.

Where did these caps come from? A donor keyboard?

I have two OG Cherry dyesub sets; one DE-ISO and one ANSI. Bought the ANSI set here, and the DE-ISO set over at DT. I do not know which keyboards they originally came from.

Yes, I like the pink one too.  I think if you switched in a normal, non-purple backspace, then everything except the blue would look good.

edit:  and maybe get rid of the purple Tab too?

Can't get rid of the backspace since I only have worse colors to replace it with.  I swapped out the Tab for the one from the dyesub set and the spacebar for a cream/white one and popped the Octopink skull on.  I think that setup looks the best.  I'll have to get some pics later with the backlights on.  First time I've really been able to use Octopink and really like it.  At the same time, it's more than a little over the top and almost cartoonish.  I may just have to take it to work tomorrow just because of how ridiculous and awesome it is.

I've never seen Cherry dye-subs but they still have that shine like their ABS caps, unlike say IMSTO's pbt. Is that how they look in real life or is it just the pic?

A few pics.. They are definitely not shiny. They have less texture than Cherry ABS. They're very smooth and dry to the touch.

I noticed the same thing with my OG dyesubs - that the text looks brown-ish rather than black. When I compared them to the BSP dyesubs, the BSP were very black in comparison. Is this just from age? Or do they all have a brownish faded black color for legends?

Probably the cause from sunlight after a lot of time. Every black is based on a different color, in this case brown. Blue, purple and green are often bases for black.

When original Cherry dyesubs start wearing/fading they seem to color shift from black to deep blue to purple to brown then to red/pink by which time they are looking pretty bad.

Finally I can add Dolch to my keyboard. <3 Now I just need to save up and get the extension kit from Orignative so I can replace the scratched up Enter key and the blank key next to "Z".
