Found the perfect spot for the keyboard root roof while not in use---Directly under the board.

So far I really prefer the the height of the board as it sits on the roof for ergonomic reasons. The roof does not move whatsovever underneath thanks to Fog's excellent EPDM material.

i started doing that with my HHKB cover and now i cant type without it under there, it just feels right!

Added a BSP set to my phantom! I THOUGHT I knew what PBT was supposed to feel like!  :)

Please excuse the potato pic as it does not do this keycap set justice.

Put my blank Esc key where the += sign is just in case i need to crank out code while I'm still learning the layout. Also moved my KBKs to the bottom row and my new S3N7-IN3L to the top right.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Thanks.

It's a 15×8 PS/2 Access-IS keypad with two programmable layers. I've put thick Cherry POM/PBT keycaps on it, they make the MX Black switches feel almost like smoother reds. The programming software is a PITA to use, mostly because the front-end is flooded with weird bugs.

You can find such keypads on eBay (Access-IS is originally UK-based, thus UK eBay might be your best bet) or in the classifieds here or over at Deskthority. Tipro, Cherry Corp., Elcom or Desko make similar keyboards.
