Nice shade of red. I think it looks better than the red Filco.

A lot of people would want both - carbon fibre and candy apple red :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well, the finish on the Filco red is definitely more professional. I meant shade of red wise.

I added a "Paul the Duck" key :D

One of my good friends is obsessed with wanting a duck, so after spending the past 6 months convincing him to get a mechanical keyboard, I'm going to surprise him with a custom key. If you're wondering, "Why Paul?" don't ask me, he's the one who wants a duck named Paul.

It's a WASD laser etched key btw. Thank you WASD for offering such an awesome service!

Wow, that's an old Das...Also I have ducks -_- they are not great. A piggie on the other hand would be awesome. I want a micro pig instead of a dog, but damn are they expensive... :(

Nice cap though!

Nice Das II, too bad you didn't find out about some other sources to have custom one off cap made, you could have gotten it in the same Cherry profile as the rest of the board, and in multicolor.

So it is - like MM said - really nice layout.

I have been considering getting these black and white SP keys, but not until I get my yellow ones from WASD first!!!

For now they are definitely on my wish list.

SP blanks is $1 each key so a full set is expensive. Makes me wonder why there has been no groupbuy on that profile though. I don't care for DCS, but I might take one of those DSA.

NIQMODS are nice. I also have a Candy Blue & Purple Cosmic, and a Black Cosmic and RGBY kit on the way... Need more keyboards to apply things to...

I have one of every blue coloured NIQMOD that I'm aware was created other than the modifiers. Took some effort to hunt them all down.

Oh and I've got a red cosmic one that doesn't see any use on my board :\

These are not as bright as all of the other colors, but bright enough to show under white keycaps and the julysicle. I got them here:

I like how they call them 'super bright' with only an mcd of 600. You need at least 4000-6000 mcd if you want a super bright LED.

Oh how quickly we forget how far we have come. LoL
Clear point ultra/super brights used to be well under 1000 mcd. But by todays standards (less than 10yrs later) those are not even considered relatively bright. Remember when many LEDs were <40mcd? And getting one that was only a couple hundred was a gem of a find.

Sth-
lol, werd!
I just got a new (yet still crappy) cable modem and the indicator lights clearly (very clearly) illuminate the wall twenty feet away enough to easily do convincing shadow puppets.

I had an old etched lens from a presentation pointer and before I recently lost it I would put it on my Filco keyboard and you could just make out the etched symbol on the ceiling at night like I was trying to hail Batman.

oops, a little OT here.
Nevermind, move along, move along.  =P
