Well CPT mentioned giveaways, and implied that he would run them, so i think we would have to decide if the 'keyboard of the month' would be vote driven or driven by the giveaway 'givers'. Favoritism plays a part if someone says that they are going to give away something and are then running it. if we do it just based on community voting, then it might a little less influeneced

but hey, a keyboard of the month thread regardless would be cool

not like i would win ;)

I haven't even put the thread up and there's complaints about how the giveaway is going to be run? Interesting.

whenever i do some sort of giveaway thing i get more responses of people trying to change the way i run it than i do for the giveaway lol
I'M IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING RIGHT NOW, WILL BE BACK AROUND SOON

Put my white pbt on my Pure.  Just waiting on a 1.75 shift (it's in the mail - thanks spamray).

27874-0

On a side note:  I am looking for a blank 1.25 white R4 key to replace the Fn key.  My ocd will not let me put the Alt key there.  Does anyone know if any of the whites from SP are close to the white pbt from vertex?  I don't care if the Fn key is abs or pbt.
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

I really like that keyboard--you have a good combination of textures and colors.  A milky-translucent quality to it.

It's my Filco "Copper" case that I shared in the keyboard painting thread.  Rust-Oleum Universal "Aged Copper" with a gloss top coat.  Can't wait for it all to come together!

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

3mm plate, no pcb, so the switches are hardly held down. They are, however soldered together by wire, so for majority of the keys, it's not an issue, but the backspace key has a whole column by itself, so if I press it on the side, it's prone to jump up. It's not too bad, though, as I can still easily use the key, and pop it back in with a single press.

Add Cherry DS thick keycaps to the Marquardt military keyboard.  I had most of a matching set from a G80-1501, left the stock caps on the number block.

Is that the $25 full printed set you acquired, or just the GH Esc, and alternative Caps and Ctrl keys?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
