Nothing too crazy and pretty cliche, if anything  :));
but you can't go wrong a red ESC with white and black.
I'll save off for a whole desktop shot once I go back to school in a month.

Have patience - they do surface eventually.  Try a Clack sale (from the man himself) from time to time, but don't expect to get one on your first sale,

Camp out in Classifieds - occasionally they surface for reasonable prices.

Search online auction sites - they do turn up there too sometimes.

I could be wrong but I think that's an IMSTO set, didn't Raindrop have white on blue mods?
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Oh I missed that and was thrown off by the no profile mismatch statement. I know most of the DCS keys are very close in profile to Cherry, but not identical. The largest difference is in row 4 on the bottom.

I'll check when I get back but maybe the difference was so little I just didn't think there was one.

Alright I just checked.  There is actually a profile difference, but its much more noticeable on my QFR with white modifiers, most notably on shift keys and the caps lock(about 2mm at the bottom of the shift keys).  I don't know how much ill be using that QFR anyways, but the raindrop alpha keys has next to no difference, definitely not enough for me to stress over.

And the leopard skin rug round off the image ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

swapped out the top covers on my ergodox for the wood tops I had stewing in one corner for around 3 weeks.

Amazing!  Love what you've done with that wood ;)

Thanks for the kind and encouraging comments, guys. Its just a cosmetic change, but its been a two month project I started on a whim when I found out I could send wood for laser cutting. (After finding that out, it planted an itch in my mind I just had to scratch). I had no idea the wood used would be so raw to begin - had to learn how to finish wood from scratch without screwing up (too much, that is).

Pretty satisfied with what I ended up with - though in retrospect, the shade of wood might have been too gaudy-orangy. Still, it was a great learning experience. I'm extremely glad to get so many positive comments.

edit: for the animal activists we might have here - the rug ain't the real thing. Faux covering that happened to be where the best natural light could be had in my house. ;)
