OC ps2 port
« on: Wed, 03 April 2013, 05:26:53 »
Hello so I've been playing around some with regedit the last couple of days and decided I wanted to optimize my keyboard as much as possible..

So I stumbled upon this entry in registry ;Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/Controlset001/Enum/ACPI/PNP0303/4&1cdd7d08&0/Device Parameters
                                                   Also  ;Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/Controlset001/Enum/ACPI/PNP0501/1/Device Parameters

The location may vary..
For those interested remember change those entrys in both ControlSet001 AND ControlSet002

I read some guides ppl oc'n their ps2 ports for mices so I tought ps2 port as ps2 port eh? so I OC'd my ps2 port from 100mhz too 300.. works good so far :D
But now I found ; PollingPeriod set 0 // is this something I should activate = 1?

Give some tought on this please!

/Frank

Im no expert but PollingPeriod I do believe is a form of latency which is usually used to guaranty compatibility between faster and slower devices so basically if it works well at that speed there is no reason to turn it on and slow it down.
