If someone wants refunding...
I will refund the whole money of deposit.

Don't worry about that.
And.. I am so sorry that late and scratches.
It is all my fault.
And thanks a lot for waiting this GB.

Don't say that.....

You tried EVERYTHING literally..

I've never seen someone commit so much and only take a deposit in case anything goes wrong..

I have many extra scratched housings.
So.. Just PM to me.
(Let me know color and plate)

You can change your order to RED housing.(Perfect or Scratched).
Red housings are not many. :D
Would you be able to post some pictures of the extra scratched housings?  I would love to grab one of them, just wonder how bad the scratches are.

edit: Nvm, I just saw the pics you posted earlier

That is why I'm with this guy because he's honest and always gets to the point regarding this Group Buy.

Sorry you had been abused with the incompetencies of the manufacturer here because this is all their fault from the beginning.  You had done everything to make this happen for us and we appreciate it beyond words.

Most dodgy Group Buy organizers would ignore anyone's posting until everything is shipped then they quietly disappear from this forum or change their names hoping to carry out another failed Group Buy, have personally witnessed some nasty pieces of work regarding the taking of money and failing to deliver anything at all.

You stand way ahead of those type of scumbags who deserve the hatred and mistrust but not you because you have always kept in touch and always posted info along the way, which is a lot more than most would do here on Geekhack.  Your only problem here is that you are too honest in your character and the idealism you hold when it comes to dealing with horrible manufacturers.  I would always like to deal with someone who pushes the envelop in producing the goods despite being crippled by outside influences.

Kin25 you have been fantastic throughout this process and look forward to dealing with you again when you announce the new TKL model, but one word of advice - please find another manufacturer for these keyboard casings and someone who knows about proper anodizing with a high quality finish  8) .

Kin, if i pull out from this GB it's not cause I don't want the board (holy **** do i want the board) or because you have done something wrong. (You have literally been the best groupbuy leader I've ever seen, bar none.) But because the timeline for this has been dragged out by unforseen complications on my end. I can't thank you enough for running this groupbuy, and how you have done it. I know I'll be kicking myself in the head for missing out.

Just talked to kin and it looks like they're still in production.  He doesn't have an ETA for them.

No probs, because these keycaps are for the 1800 layout ONLY then you can understand that it shall take some time to finish.  Dye-subs aren't as quick as plastic injection molding, which is completed in one hit and ejected out of the mold ready for shipment.

This 1800 legend is about to be born hence like expectant fathers, we all huddle around the waiting room waiting for our babies to arrive  ;D .

:O :O :O

It's perfect.   :'(

Yesterday I finished the test of students.
Thanks for waiting.

But.. I have a trouble to control quality.
Factory made scratches again.
He said to me that he can't fix any more.

So.. I give you some choices.
(1) good quality housing.$300
(2) some scratched housing. $225
(3) Refund.

You can change and save the money.
(of course I will reduce loss)

Please let me know... If you want to change..

I would like Option 1, please.  :)  :thumb:

It's been a while since I've seen any mention of Plate+PCB only orders. I've got a 3000 Plate+PCB on order, should I expect that to ship with the full sets or will they go out sooner/later?

Leeku's pcb doesn't support the G80-1865 layout.

Cheeky thread bump.

Kin, I know you might be running late with this GB due to personal reasons. If it would help in any way, I am ready to pay for the rest of my order. Your hard work has earned my trust completely, there is no need to wait any longer to send me an invoice. I'm sure other members feel the same. This is just a suggestion. My only goal is to help you and the GB. I have no desire to get my TX1800 before anyone else.

Let us know. I hope your boy and family are doing well.

kin, while I didn't join this GB, I felt like I should compliment you on your work ethics. All these updates are amazing, it's really fun to see how this is coming together!
Thank you.
This is my first groupbuy in GH.
I think I must have reponsibility.
Generally GB opener reports process of progress in Korea.
It relieves participants anxiety.
Also it makes GB opener reduce the stress.
The communication make all satisfied.
I spend a little time a day to post these news.

I was just starting to be more attentive at the GH community when the TX1800 GB started.
I was a bit scared to join this GB, or any GB, to be fair.
But now, looking at all the messages, the very open way that you have been communicating updates, news and the general happiness present on this GB, I feel very confident that all your future group buys will be exemplary.
Sadly, I was too scared to join the TX1800 GB and I now regret this decision, ery well said; I couldn't agree more. but I'll patiently wait your next GB. in the future.

Very well said; I couldn't agree more.

The more pics I see, the more impressed I become with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I am very disappointed that I missed the opportunity to at least get a PCB and plate, in order to update one of my 1800 boards. Hopefully there will be a Round 2 at some point.

GREAT JOB Kin! Keep up the good work.

Also, if I need to change my shipping address should I do that now or will you confirm addresses with us before shipping?

Hey kin, any chance of picking up one of the keycap sets?  I PM'd you a bit ago but with everything going on in your life, I didn't want to keep bothering you. :(

There is a shop or group buy which will have LYNs keycap sets too: http://KBDcraft.com
I have the link from a thread about a nice custom 1800 keyboard: http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/here-s-my-new-and-1st-custom-keyboard-for-gb-t10849.html

Thanks for the heads up but I keep getting a 403 error, unfortunately. @__@
