The Colors

As with the previous version, this is still my inspiration, so don't come at me about thai tea not being purple, cause there's definitely purple in that pic.
After struggling to get Pantones to render as I was seeing them, I picked up a RAL book and decided to switch to that. While I do feel better about these, remember that all renders are an approximation and all of our screens can vary in how well colors are represented.
Alpha Base: RAL 075 90 20
Alpha Legend: RAL 050 50 60
Mod Base: RAL 350 20 15
Mod Legends: RAL 050 60 60
Accent Base: RAL 050 50 60
Accent Legend: RAL 350 20 15
Note that the alpha legends and the mod legends are two different shades of orange, the reasons for this were twofold, one it adds a bit more diversity in the oranges in the set, and it also helps with the contrast.
I set up a profile for my camera in lightroom using an xrite color checker, but I'm far from an expert. These are in no way guaranteed to be 100% color accurate, but should be used to give an added idea of what the color should be in addition to the renders

Feel like the main shade should be a little bit more orange and less of the dark salmon/orange mix it is now. Also boba novelties would be amazing
If a vendor actually shows interest in this set, I would definitely work more at nailing the colors, time was a bit of a factor and as I mentioned, still new to using Fusion so my color accuracy isn't quite perfect yet.

Tried using two different oranges as legend colors for 2 reasons, 1 to help contrast, 2 to help be a bit more representative of how varied the colors in thai tea are. The accent in the top pic is the alpha legend color, while the bottom pic is the mod legend color.

Hey guys, created a quick strawpoll to see how people are feeling about alphas.
One thing I'm seeing with various Thai fonts, is that I don't think some of the loops and such will not be as doubleshot friendly, and will thus have to use a more simplistic font. Or I could go with a more complex font and pad print them.
The idea I've got in my head (with no data yet), is cream alphas no subs in base, and an alternate orange alphas with pad printed subs (as I can use a more visually compelling font that way).

Ok after looking at the old renders. I definitely like the dark legends more on the cream. For me I think the orange alphas are the star of the show with the cream and dark accents. However I still really like the set. If there is one minor wish is somehow the return of the cream and dark enter key to go with the orange alphas.
When we move to quoting, I can see some various possibilities about sneaking that cream accent in one of the kits.
In other news zFrontier is in for China/Asia so we are officially lined up for all our proxies!
Nice, I was loving the cream accents on the original renders too.

- Change Code legends to Super or System — This is mostly down to designer preference, but if you ask me, Code doesn't make (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=101960.msg2803194#msg2803194) sense (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=104460.msg2870032#msg2870032) as an OS key legend. It's also less common (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106305.msg2949675#msg2949675) than Super, if that plays a role in your decision.

1. Yeah, that's easy enough to do, will work on that.
2/3. 2u I can consider, my thinking was 2.25u seems more prevalent, and if someone was so desperate they could use numpad 0. 1u not really worried about, as I'm not intending any sort of planck support and 1u space on alice seems like a massive edge case.

Taking a quick look at r/mk, they show up about equally as often. But if you do a Google Images search for “alice keyboard”, 2u actually seems to show up a lot more frequently. So I'd say it's worth including.
