(IC) GMK Trash Friends - GB is Canceled... for now.

UPDATE: 12/16/21
December can be a tough month for GBs, especially when combined with GMK's long lead time and how many other monster sets were running at the same time. Unfortunately Trash Friends suffered due to these factors, so we are making the decision to cancel this GMK Trash Friends GB.
However, all is not lost. I am adamant that the project continue at some point in 2022, so Trash Friends will likely be back in the future, whether just at a different time or in a different profile.
I appreciate everyone's support and feedback thus far. Since we're going back to an IC stage, please feel free to continue sending me feedback and comments if you have any adjustments you'd like to see made.

COLORS:

The set was pretty much inspired by the picture below, so I literally went in and eyedropper-ed the areas of color indicated, and found the closest RAL colors I could to them. Yes, I spent significant time looking for the best snoot color. Livin' my best life over here.

GIVING BACK:

If you’ve seen my other sets (GMK Fox, ePBT Allfather, ePBT Freyja), you know one of the things I want to accomplish is donating to various charities. Normally I would like to do more of a local charity (think globally, act locally) because I think the money goes further for them. As to the feasibility of the tricolor novelty, that could be doubleshot with a white legend with the flowers UV/pad printed after. Downside is that it adds a color of plastic to your novelties kit; you might be able to do the whole key in UV instead.

Aw that's really nice of you - I appreciate the concern. I'm spacing all of the GBs out so I don't have anything running concurrently. Just trying to get my concepts out there, since I've had issues of putting in a ton of work on a set and then go to check ICs and it turns out that someone else did something too similar for me to move forward with it. Trying to avoid having that happen again.
Timing just so happened that although I've been working on all of the 3 sets I have in IC for quite a while, things started moving forward for them at the same time. I have a few more ICs I'll have ready for this year, at least 1. But I'm definitely pacing myself!

You need a 1u spacebar for proper 3-1-3 split 7u support. Also a 1.25u bar would be nice. The pink arrows in the novelties render looks pretty wonky too. Along with that Iso support seems a bit “everywhere” and there are too many deskmats imo. Either way glwic and thank you for always supporting a good cause!

Also consider adding 2.25u and 2u shifts in base, those are pretty crucial
You need a 1u bar for 3,1,3
Also no 1.25u, off center 6 or centered 6u bars. Although off-center is really needed, consider 1.25 and 6 centered for sure though.
Also consider 3 key 40s and a single r2 accent nov for accenting 40 percents

And I love raccoons and opossums. Opossums are such misunderstood animals. They don't have rabies, and they eat pests. And they're so cute. They just look a bit quirky. There's lots to love.

The set itself looks alright, but those deskmats are banger.

well push me over with a feather. i've always called squirrels "squirrel rats." even had teachers correct my kids at school (who were taught to respond that "squirrels are just rats with good PR.") the fact that you have a desk mat with "tree rat" brought a huge smile to my face! and now trash panda and dumpster cat also enter vocabulary at chez azzipa. glwic

Aw thanks! I love raccoons and opossums as well. Everyone thinks opossums are sabertooth death mouse but really they're just scared and sweet. If you've ever seen them eat fruit... my goodness that is just wholesome cuteness.

The kitting is very inclusive to both ansi and iso users. The iso compatibility in the kit already covered both us and uk iso. There is only one redundant key that is R4 "~#". I would love to see novelties which can cover the nav column of 65/75s layouts. Also 4 ansi enter novelties are not necessary either, please consider changing them to the left shift key which has the same size but in different row.
