Looking forward to this buy, though I'll have to convince myself I need another board. Oh wait... that won't be an issue.

NEED another board...? Blasphemy. You *always* need another board, right? It's the next one that may be the last one. Something like that. :)

Agreed, it's more a matter of - well I have an HHKB already... Then the logical person in me says... well yeah, but it's not MX.

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to buy another

A little question about the construction of this keyboard.

Will this be a sandwich construction (Top case & bottom case) ?

And how will the Plate/PCB be fixed to the case? Is the plate screwed into the case or fixed between the top/bottom case or is the PCB screwed into the case bottom?

From what I understand, it's a two part case design with the pcb attached to the bottom of the case.

Therefore pretty much every 60% pcb aswell as a standard plate should work without the need for blocker cutouts etc.

This is a sexy case! I would love to buy an aftermarket case like this for my HHKB, but cannot really justify another MX build atm.
Probably TeX'ing right now.

I think hes saying he'd prefer it not ran through MD because it seems stuff ran through there go into a fairly long queue and they are sometimes a bit of a hassle to order from.

On page 1 Revo says there will be silver, titanium (grey), and pink (not rose gold). On page 4 Revo says black is in, too.

Goodness! Would be my end game.

But just like JD45, the case should taper a little bit to avoid looking heavy at the front.

Pasting Rama's design below. Can be a good example. Hope he doesn't mind.  :D

Is there a price range for this yet?

Also, will we be able to just buy the case? I have an HHKB layout and am looking for a new case.

haha good one

Revo numpad on MD was like, $159. Dr. D over here on GH was only $260.

I am also curious as to how the pricing is going to look on this one though.

don't know what you are referring to saying "taper" but if you're referring to the chamfer in ramas design I hope revo doesn't do this as it looks very clean and simple right now.

Sorry guys, i've been busy dealing with the anode factory this month. It has been shut down by government because of the serious environmental problem.
Almost every anode factory have been shut down to make our air a little bit better. This means delay for all our projects.
However it will be up and running within this week so everything will be fine and ill start this GB as soon as everything back to normal.
Thanks

Gosh... the world has outsourced their pollution and child labor problem and inhumane long working hours to China.
This is how China gets strong, but I am really sorry for the cost.

Hope the environmental standard can be improved and the factories can still meet up (not with the bribing method) soon.

Any chance you can offer a frosted polycarbonate or acrylic base to show off the underglow of the b.fake pcbs? I think that would be a nice way to do it without ruining the case's clean lines.

what i am trying to do is add one layer. You can chose to use it or not. This way is much cheaper. The reason why i want to add one layer is i don't want to waste the pcb's under light. If i am doing a PC or Acrylic bottom case it would change the whole design, and that's not what i wanna do. ;D but thank you for your advise.

That makes sense. This will be great. I'm excited for the GB. I hope you will give us some warning about when the GB will be, and I hope you will post in this thread as well to let us know. I will be very sad if I miss out! :)

Pretty sure it has universal plate support as it looks like a tray mount case. More pics and a build log for the pink revo hhkb can be found here: https://bbs.wstx.com/thread-699962-1-1.html

Worst case is you have to source a separate SS plate elsewhere, but that should be easy enough  :D

I expected universal plates to work aswell since it's tray style.
However Buildlog you linked shows an acrylic plate with cutouts actually.

Are the Plate cutouts required?
And on a side note, will those smexy acrylic plates be available in the gb? <3<3

It will be like one time deal.I will only do this once cause we have so many stuff to do.

Is this going to be limited to a certain number of units as well as limited to the one release?
No limit during the GB. But ill run this GB just once. won't do a second round.
