Site Maintenance - August 8, 2018
« on: Wed, 08 August 2018, 14:42:15 »
The site is undergoing some maintenance today.  We apologize for any disruptions in the service.  A lot of the recent temporary service interruptions and slow operation have not been caused by anything on our end, and today's maintenance a step to move the site to the more stable hosting server from the old one that's been causing problems.

Yeah, we had to pull a trigger faster than expected... we were hoping to do this friday night but today's slowness / in-accessibility just made us accelerate that timeline. Hopefully things are better for most people, we're still working through a few technical things, but for most people the site should hopefully work as expected :fingerscrossed:

Hoping we'll see some improved performance now that we're transitioned over.  :thumb:  Thanks for all your hard work getting/keeping things chugging!  :)

Thanks for the pointer.  In the meantime, a much better way to search geekhack is via google search, if you type in "site:geekhack.org search terms" into the address bar field.

Testing tapatalk... actually more checking some underlying bits from tapatalk since we know that’s been working just not entirely as expected... ignore this for all intents and purposes ;)
