Will the PCB support QMK? Plus, possible Bluetooth support one way or another, then I'll be very happy to quit this hobby (I hope!).
I’m wondering about this as well. I don’t think I’d be able to learn HHKB layout; definitely need to switch some things to sorta mimic a traditional layout.

I’m new to the hobby, so I’ve admittedly been watching videos trying to figure out exactly how HHKB actually works, and I just don’t think I’d be able to get my brain to adapt to it.

That being said, this board is so ****ing sexy. I need it.

Yup the PCB will be running QMK.

Sorry about the lack of updates, been busy with other projects lately but I am hoping to get this board very soon!

Wow! This is an exceptionally classy looking keyboard. Definitely keeping my eye on this one. Really curious to hear what that foam core carbon fiber sounds like.

Can the two sections be pushed together to form a composite unit?

Yes, but you don't wanna do that:

I appreciate the continued interest in this project! We are still actively working out issues with the PCB. We want a fully functioning unit before even considering moving this into GB phase. We are shooting for Q1 2020 hopefully 🙏

Wondering if we could get some more renders/photos of what rose gold would look like.

Some rose golds I’ve seen are more pink, and some appear closer to copper/orang-ish.

Who better to answer than the queen of rose gold herself?

So if those pictures are accurate, it looks like the rose gold leans slightly more toward the “gold” than the “rose,” especially when directly compared to the Olivia set that’s on there. It’s also possible that color calibration on my phone isn’t the best.

Still looks really good.

Actually, I might be wrong. This photo shows that the shade of Rose gold ano is almost exactly that of the Olivia spacebar. Maybe it’s just the lighting situation that has me thinking it’s not as pink as I thought.

Can this split case (or any, for that matter) be made wireless?

I absolutely love the renders of these cases, but fail to realize that a connecting wire between the two halves is necessary.

Im not a huge fan of wires....

I plan to get a Kendo at some point b/c it's gorgeous and I like HHKB and I love split boards.  I would like to see a working prototype with cables and all to get a better idea of the finished product in use.  NE demo vids available?

I think it’s definitely possible to make a cable between the two halves look good. Especially if you maybe already have a custom coiled/aviator cable and you match that color.

I wonder if this kit would include super short custom cables in different colors. It might make the buying process easier on everyone since they don’t have to source the cable on their own.

As much as I would love this kind of thing to be wireless, I would rather a rock-solid wired build than an even occasionally unreliable wireless build.

Will dampening foam be available? A sound test would also be helpful

Will extra pcbs and daughterboards be available for separate purchase?

I think it would be great if there'd be a wider variety of layouts to chose from (like wkl or standard f.e.)

I use both the caps lock key and left ctrl key when gaming, apologies but this is not very difficult to understand. Im following this post because i think the kendo is a super sweet design and if it ever comes in a non hhkb layout, i would buy in immediately.

You could check out the YMDK SP64. Not quite as polished but it’s got the full suite of keys you seem to be after

I think it may have been said earlier in this IC that it would likely be too difficult to order halves of separate colors, but I may be wrong.

Yeah was asked. Don't know if what was previously said is still true though. Hope so.

Will this be a limited GB? Also, do you have any rough estimates on when it will run, like in a month or in half a year?
I will not be limiting this board, although I may put a hard cap (I doubt it will be reached).
