[IC] ZODIAC keyboard (65%) - update Mar 20th, 2020 ( sound check posted)

As for some relatively suggested ideas from a Vietnamese group concerned about the aesthetic of our product. We now have released the new and completely different keyboard even though it is still called "ZODIAC" but not limited in "PISCES constellation" anymore. Instead, it will be a full optional collection for a total of 12 ZODIAC SIGNS. The bottom part is more solid, and the mounting style now will be "SANDWICH" with a better typing feeling than top mount (in my opinion).

----Some basic specs:
1 - Mount style: Sandwich with 1.5mm thich plate
2- Angle: 6.5 degree
3- Weight thickness: 2mm with alu as standard, could be upgrade to brass
4- Estimated weight: 2kg excluding keycap and switches
5- PCB: 2 options for solderable and hot-swap with $10 different, type C, fullly compatible QMK
6- I will let the first 15 people who purchase this keyboard have a chance to design their own symbols to be engraved into that weight (if they need) with a small extra cost.
7- Prototype expected: at the final week of Feb, 2020
8- GB expected: a month after prototype revealed

******For those who are still interested in our "UNIQUE PISCES", just wanna let you know that option will be still available in SANDWICH mount option. Therefore, it will be a bit different in term of  GOTHIC font as in the pictures following by.

Hi fellows in Geekhack. I have just come up with an idea of creating my own collection instead of buying incessantly from others. Then the idea of “Zodiac” came to my mind since this topic to me is interesting. Then the first one apparently is my Zodiac Sign – Pisces.
The pictures below are my final design and the prototype has already made (even though it is my initial idea with a bit difference – as a reference for quality only)

Odd 65% layout. 2u right shift(vs ansi standard 2.25u) and not a 1.75u left shift but rather 2x 1u right shift area. Is there a reason for this decision?  (a 1u right space is definitely a deal breaker for me, but I probably won't get it regardless, but still curious as to the reason.)

Not a huge fan of the design, personally, but I appreciate the uniqueness of it and wish you the best of luck!! (One thing to consider is to move the logo to the back so it isn't on the front, perhaps for a cleaner look? Just an idea )

Instead I wanted to add one more specially key there as for shutting down computer combo. (and I accidentally put that dumb idea into my renders - the decision is all yours and the plate will support most of the layouts so don't let the render pictures confuse you - the update pictures of plate and supported layouts will be updated soon in few days)
About the logo as your curiosity, take out one key at the corner and replace it with something else to make it look less boring.

As for the layout, ok. That's a life saver.   initially I thought It would be really hard to make it that specific layout work for many people, due to the unique alpha stagger.

I got what you meant now. There is another guy suggested to move that word to the back too. I am on the process doing that and will upload the updated pictures in next few days, also update the layouts by which will be supported. Thank you for your feedback again

I already got the prototype to test the stable. The thing left is waiting for the pcb to put into the case. I will update the video as soon as i can .

I manage to get GMK Sparta and combine with this burgundy case as your render picture. But now Sparta was cancelled so I’m wondering other colors that can come with my GMK Olive. Dark green should be fine

Sorry for late response. As for some suggestions, we made it move to the back face and people will have a clearer view in the front.

Thank you for your interest. I just add some general information about the PCB and more. Also, I attached a link to my current prototype for a PISCES design with the pictures of PCB,... so that you can have a look.

As some suggestions in our IC, I add some options for you guys who want to possess a very own keyboard with your name on it (limited).

We are running a local GB in Vietnam before reaching out internationally, be sure almost types of designs will be made and reveal before Geekhack GB open. Just keep an eye on us and follow Insta for more info.

It's actually black with few percent of green so that I call it mossy. The dark green is another different colour.

Really sorry to say ”No” since this is my very first Product and I want to simplify the options as much as possible. Another layout design could screw up my mind. Moreover, I myself dont get familiar of the square look of 75% when the two dimensions of the width and length are pretty much similar.

Hotswap is an absolute MUST for me since I do not have the space to put a soldering kit on my desk, and even if I did, I would still prefer hotswap since I am always wanting to try out new switches and see what ones I end up liking the most. I have also been wanting a 65% at the very least so I could have my arrow cluster back.

Any updates on when the GB might be happening for this beauty, as well as what site the GB will take place on? I'm dying to see if I can afford this; IC form filled out as well

The private Gb was actually about everything. Review and feedback, testing the capability of the manufacturer for the length of making a certain units. Any other problems in terms of designs,.... anyway, price for me will be pretty much affordable for a standard kit
