FAQ

Can there be a novelties kit?
There are no plans to create a novelty kit for this set, with the inspiration and trying to replicate that look of a typewriter and to feel simple yet elegant

Any chance of a different profile like SLK or something non uniform?
I have tried to get this to work with SLK for the past few months but unfortunately it was not achievable with there manufacturing process compared to Keyreative after seeing there KAM Command samples.
I chose a uniform profile as it fits the inspiration of a typewriter, it also increases compatibility with a wide range of keyboards without including extra kits

Can you split everything in to more kits?
Keyreative have made steps to put a stop to the days of running 30+ kits, reflected in there new cumulative surcharge on sets exceeding 3 kits
There lead times are dependent on the amount of kits, less kits means quicker delivery

Updates

  • Amended some kitting - added HUNT, removed unnecessary keys
  • Second deskmat is Complete phase
  • THOK metal artisans in design phase

Really nice. I suppose it's using KAM matte finish ? Shiny finish would maybe not suit the style that much.

Your 40s support doesn't look right. 3 key 40s is usually R2 1.75u Backspace, R3 1.5u Enter, R3 1.25u Tab. It looks like you've got a 2nd 1.5u Tab in there instead.
Less of an issue with a uniform profile but you might as well have the correct tab if you're putting in 40s support (thanks for doing it).

Thanks for noticing this, it's an error on my part and am fixing this now!

KAM Taskmaster.

I like the idea but is it going to possible to get consistent border placement on each keycap, manu's find it hard enough to get regular legends right.

I hope this won't come off like I'm telling you what do, but iiiiiis there any chance you'd be willing to reconsider on the stroke/border around each keycap? To me, each keycap has a natural innate border where the sides meet the top and I'm not sure if I love how busy it makes it all look.

Feel free to disregard this as I don't want to discount your artistic vision. I'm just kinda wondering aloud here.

After seeing KAM Command samples, I and Keyreative are very confident with the consistency we will be able to achieve

I appreciate the feedback, but unfortunately not, the stroke and boarder has been my vision for this set from the beginning.

Please consider a more robust 40s support. 3-key 40s makes sense on GMK or other high price manus where a child kit might be too expensive/ have too high a moq to be viable.
Unless Keyreative has significantly changed their pricing a 40s kit at a reasonable price that'll meet moq (if there is one now?) would probably be doable.

I'll consider it, if there's enough responses asking for it on the IC form

Any chance of being able to confirm colour codes at this stage?
Are these going to double-shot in keyreatives pbt blend?

Keyreative now adds a cumulative surcharge on the whole set for every kit over 3

That's a very good looking set.

Keyreative now adds a cumulative surcharge on the whole set for every kit over 3
That means no International Kit then, i suppose?

Or even worse, that means no more international kits for any keyreative sets going forward.
I don't like this even a tiny bit.

If a separate 40s kit is impossible due to trying to keep at 3 kits or below then perhaps a bigger base kit could be considered.
For example NicePBT Noel adds in 1.75u space as well as quite a few extra bars (dual 2u, dual 3u, etc).

IMO you can experiment with dark color background for the new deskmat since it compliments your set well/better than the off-white.

This 100%. I'm a shoe-in for the deskmat if it's dark.
