INTRODUCTIONHey everyone! After the success of the BSUN Strawberry Cheesecake, we have been silent for a while. We focused all our resources on the development of our next project which I am super excited to share with you.

Over a year of love and dedication, we are delighted to present Toro60. This keyboard is not just another design—it's a tribute to our studio’s beloved mascot, Toro the Shiba Inu. Every detail has been carefully crafted to capture the spirit of our furry friend, and we can't wait for you to see it!

Thanks to the valiant effort of our design team spearheaded by @sauvieng, we were able to bring this project to life

DESIGN CHOICES
As our first keyboard project, the Toro60 features a unique layout with a modified Chinese win-keyless blocker and an exploded 6.25u spacebar—designed to be as functional as it is stylish. While fairly unique, we feel that the layout is practical enough to use just any keycap sets you have lying around without needing to purchase any child kit (yes, even the cheapest keycap set you can find on the market can be used with this layout).

To ensure comfort for all users, the Toro60 comes with a 7-degree typing angle and a 16mm front height. It's perfect for long typing sessions without straining your wrists. Pair with some full-travel switches, and you are looking at a day-long typing saver.

For the mounting style, we chose a top mount. It is an old classic mount that works like a champ. Nice, even typing experience with great acoustic is why we chose it.
The case design is where things get interesting. We went all-in on curves, making the entire case sleek and smooth. All those curves help you visualise how chonky Toro is.

To keep the exterior clean and minimalist, we opted for the hidden screw utilising 4 internal M2 screws to hold the top and bottom together.

Finally, we added a weight featuring an engraving of Toro himself. The weight will be available in both Brass and Stainless steel with UV-printing and surface treatment so you can pick one that suits you best.

I am assuming bc of the exploded spacebar 7U bottom row wasn't possible? Other than that the board looks really really cool.

--- End quote ---
The combination of the Exploded spacebar and the Chinese Win-key blockers reduces the amount of space we can use. Hence, 7u was not possible. The concept design initially came with a 6u but then we believed 6.25u would make it way easier for end-consumers so it was changed to 6.25u in the final design.
