Yeah I know from reading early posts that a lot of people also paid for Switch Plate Removers and Key Cap Pullers too which seems completely left out of that list.

Edit: Although technically that portion hasn't been paid for yet so if that's too much work it could just be removed from the final price I guess which sucks for those that did but it's better than nothing.

To repeat: I ordered a black TX1800 without the NCS engraving, and KIN25 had it made, took photos and emailed it to me.
Now yuktsi is telling me that it has been sold and is no longer available. My only option is a refund, and I will gladly take it.

This entire GB has been a cluster****.

That sucks..obviously there was something going on that caused all of these problems...

But on the positive side, you'll be 100 dollars better off than you probably thought a few months ago....Probably not much of a consolation after finding out people might actually get their stuff...but better than losing your money altogether....

There is no longer any trust at all with KIN25, and it would be preferable if we can minimize any additional delays or damage, by refunding people via the pool of money that goes into paying for entire keyboards.

If KIN25 has any shred of dignity or accountability, he would understand the reasons for doing this. Also, it will minimize money getting lost (via PP fees every single transaction) if the money doesn't get rerouted too many times.

Could I get some support/agreement for this proposed plan? There is literally no other better alternative, if you want to make people happy and have them believe that they will actually get their money back.

tl;dr: Minimize money going into KIN25's pockets by refunding from the pool of funds that we (yuktsi) currently have control and access to. Good idea, yeah? Less likely to get scammed even further.

I understand your proposition but it isn't going to work.

yuktsi isn't responsible for this mess. Ontop of trying to fix things for people you want yuktsi to change whatever plan/agreement that has been made with KIN25?

This is how your plan works out:

• yuktsi gets the money from some of us for a few boards
• yuktsi ask KIN25to post these boards under the agreement that kin with get the funds
• KIN25posts the boards and gives proof of postage
• yuktsi then goes "oh, btw, that money is being used for refunds"?

The money can't be used for other peoples refunds until after the boards have been posted. Why would KIN25 post the boards if he knew he's not going to get any money for them? Like you said there is already little trust for KIN25 actions. Why should yuktsi have to be put in the position to lie to KIN25?

I understand the transfer of money works on paper and it is logically sound. But we are dealing with someone (KIN25) who doesn't seem to operate on good logical grounds, otherwise kin would be posting here in person fixing the mess that was made.

I honestly think the best thing to do is to let yuktsi be the escrow agent for the rest of the payment (seems low risk) then you will either get your money back or get your parts (which you can then sell to break even). I understand the moral position of not wanting to give KIN25 more money, but I don't think you will be able to recoup your deposit any other way.

Maybe yuktsi would be able to work out a new totally new agreement with KIN25 where this is possible, but seriously I doubt it. Either way I would ask everyone to cool off a bit before demanding more of yuktsi. I've been angry about this for a long time, just like you, but yuktsi shouldn't be the target of our frustration.

It's all down to Yuktsi here because this person has saved our scalped arses.  This guy has stepped in to make sure those that paid up get their unique keyboard, hence he deserves our thanks.
