I believe I owe one or two replacement lids which I'll take care of next week.

Once all the cases have been delivered and confirmed, I'll plan to do a FCFS sale for the 11 extra cases I have plus a giveaway. More to follow.

I'm hoping for more slots, like maybe 1-3 added columns, and as many mentioned on the instagram post, a tighter fit (e.g. magnetic) for the lid. The v2 is already so nice and functional, though.

It arrived and I love it! About the only thing I might echo with other suggestions is a magnetic top but I also understand those can be problematic, sometimes aren't strong enough, etc. Thankfully, the band to hold the top on these is high end and made of good materials, so it seems like it'll last a long time for travel use. The stand is also great, has a nice angle for display. Thanks again Hayt!

arrived just yesterday so i took some pics. haven't done any photography in a while so they came out kinda janky. i love the way that light fills the case and illuminates the caps, it makes them really shine when on the stand.

* metallic cutout with the letters and numbers
* slightly reduce the size of the squares (evil box was a perfect fit for reference)
* add a lip or something to make removing the top easier
* add a recessed bottom so that you can stack
* some type of illumination solution could be cool if possible
* maybe consider a slide in top with a band that goes around the box instead of over it
* could follow icebox and add stem indents because it looks nice

Just spitballing so everyone set phasers to stun if anything listed is already scrapped from earlier versions

Got it today. Besides the minor machining blemishes, this case is wonderful. I was a little worried about there not being any friction fit on the cover but it seems to stay in place we’ll enough.

Was definitely surprised it was a printout inside but it works nicely too. I find the space perfect. Fits even my largest artisans.

Hate to necro but was thinking the other day it would be sweet if it was able to be hung up.

The solution I spitballed was adding hole in the middle of each slot and 3d printed stems with a base to prevent pulling through. Then you slide a piece of plexiglass (or something) over the bottom to "lock" the stem inserts in.

You could then include mount it like a picture frame (assuming the lid has some sort of holding mechanism).

Actually, I got one second-hand, and when it arrived it had two large chunks cracked off of it, near the rim. They are clean breaks, so I can glue them, but it's such as shame as both are super noticeable from the front and it's just a beauty otherwise. Any chance you'd be able to replace it? I realize since I was not an original GB member and since it likely broke in transit during a second-hand sale there's really no justification or necessity for replacement but I figured I'd ask.

Also, seems they didn't include the rubber band. Any chance you have extras of those laying around?

I'm curious if you'd ever consider doing that same or similar design, but in a few different form factors. I realize the shape and size impacts the design a lot and I don't suggest to know much about that, but I have some artisan sets / series that would do great if one dimension was 5 slots (for example) instead of the current 6 or 9.

A metal timestamp ring would be pretty sweet. Would that be backward compatible with the v2? And if so would v2 owners be able to purchase them separately?

Mid-July is my estimated ship date to receive them. I would anticipate doing a sale for 50 cases late July / early August timeframe.

Update on the timestamp ring - it's looking like it will be a metalized plastic, given laser cutting such a thin strip of metal has proven challenging. More to come!

Time for a quick update. Getting the metal timestamp ring to work has been surprisingly challenging. Between speccing the right material that isn't too thin that it would bend, but not too thick that it would prevent the lid from sitting flush in the rim of the case. And then creating the right laser effect, anyways, I think we finally have it dialed in.

Details for the V2.5 group buy:

Cases available: 44
Price: $198
Changes from V2 include stainless steel ring, improved lid tolerance, reinforced perimeter, some internal detail tweaks to the CNC machinework
Lead time: 1-2 weeks (I will open the group buy once I have all of the cases on hand)

I would like to open the group buy sometime in October.

Will metal rings be available for V2 or V1 cases? Not at this time. As said above, they are pretty special, required a good amount of development and I would like to keep them unique to the V2.5 version.

Any questions let me know.
