MT3 Serika has a novelties pack which wouldn’t be bad for the top row and also has M1-M10 which would cover the left-side keys. SA Nuclear data has M1-M12. Lemme know if you find better.

That way, you get to enjoy the goodness of all the extra keys AND avoid the trouble of screwing with everyone's muscle memory. And, mind you, I'm typing this right now on my IBM F122, so I oughta know. :D

The board is based on the IBM Unsaver, which never was a full size keyboard.
This is also a board with 34 function keys, you can easily make those function keys replace any full size board keys you're missing.

TBH I don't personally see much benefit here since it would still be out of position compared to normal. Different spacing and angled.

To my eyes it looks... too angular, too simple, like the Unsaver was used just as an idea for how the keys should be arranged, not for the overall look.
That is mostly true. It's not meant as a 1:1 replica, more an homage to the layout I guess. The design itself is more mixed with my current style with a slight nod to old Cherry boards. We are still tweaking though so we'll see where it goes from here.

Yeah, an early draft was actually very very close to a 2100 but we decided it would be better to change it up a bit.

I would pay over the odds for this with HHKB blockers on the main 60% block. If you're considering WKL. please consider HHKB too :D
WKL is due to the historical significance, since this project draws heavily from the Cherry G80-2100 and 2500 series.
Since the HHKB is unrelated to the board, it will likely not be offered as an option.

ANSI is supported in the added keys below the main layout. I think they just showed the full ISO layout to be true to the original 2551.

This would make it possible to have a correctly-configured JIS layout as well as ISO. See Apogee (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106299.0;topicseen)'s layout diagram for an example of what I mean.

Having my eyes on this for some time now. And after going through some of the newer designs I just wanted to tell you my appreciation for not doing another 65% keyboard. Also, I really like the innovative design. Hope this will happen and hope ill be able to get my hands on one.

This would be great BUT I need windows key and a 2U zero... can't buy it if I don't have those options. Only other thing I can find is an Austin and I missed R2 recently. Obi Won Keyboard.. you are my only hope.this is a TKL board, were do you want your 2U zero? (The unsaver is the TKL version of the 122 keys terminal model F keyboard, IBM called it a space-saver but in modern day it is considered a behemoth :))

If this is full programmable w/macros, I am 100% in for at least one. Shame one can’t do arrows and a full numpad, but I will solve that problem another way in order to have access to that many work macros.
I have an older ikbc mf108 I’d been considering handwiring in order to get to somewhere like this. Thank you for respecting the numpad!

I guess it comes down to taste and preference then, which is fine. I personally hate retro aesthetics, though I don't actually see them in this board. With its sharp and angular lines and clean surfaces, it looks quite modern to me. Actually, making it a little busier and uglier by slapping some more crap on it like I've suggested might make it look more retro ;D

That would be a rather large carrying case, but i'm sure it would be appreciated. Hunks like this do need some love from their owners, regardless of their size.

I agree in theory, but I'd like to see some renders or prototype first. A numpad would be more useful to me than a nav-cluster, but I'm a little torn between functionality and esthetics. I think it might look a lot more unbalanced with the extra column.

I would think main appeal here is in the title - unsaver layout. There's a few related board that fit the nine numbers keys and arrow cluster on the right side, maybe that could work for you (if you have mono profile caps).
Let's try and stay unified here and channel good vibes in hope for the holy grail - a informative reply from the OP :))

I hope so, this board's design is a dream melding modern (high attention to detail with ai03 on the collab) and classic. The project status on the ai03 site is "Project on hold due to numerous other boards with higher priority" and was queued around Q2 2021 after a year of IC. If you look at what was going on between then and now with ai03 (Polaris, Vega, Andromeda, Vector, joining CannonKeys) all those projects simply have greater mass appeal, for format and likely cost...I can imagine this being quite expensive to produce in all metal. Having seen the reworks on the CannonKeys brutalist boards though, I'd think this would work well adapted in that style, or even plastic :)
