Cherry stabilisers only AFAIK. Not sure about using Alps switches with it, maybe Leandre can clarify. In any case, probably not a good idea anyway, since you can't use Alps stabiliser for the mods.

Of the cutouts are the same the main cluster will fit with ALPS switches, the thing is that everywhere where you have a choice with switch placement, or you have a 2u stabilized key you won't be able to fit ALPS switches, they'll just fall through the plate. Also, as it was already said, ALPS stabilizers won't work.

Yes, you do and you're looking at a premium product. 50 USD for a stabilizer set is quite a lot. LeandreN is also offering PCB mount stabilizers, in this GB, for a much lower price.

You would need a 7u spacebar wire for the stabilizer.

Stabilizers are provided here for a mere 8 USD.

For a HHKB you need at least one 7u for the spacebar and one 2u for the enter key.
Need for other stabilizers really depend on your layout.

Remember you can split both shift keys and the backspace key, just like I did with mine.

As TalkingTree said, the ones here are only 8$ - so if you have no particular desire for clear/golden stabs, you really don't need to spend the extra money. Keep in mind also that these are not "pre-clipped" like Zeal's, but that is a simple process if you wanted to.

Also as TalkingTree mentioned, you'll need a 7u (space bar) and a 2u for the enter key - if you want the fourth row to be like an HHKB, you need a 2u for the left shift as well; you can also just split it into two 1u keys like he did.

We are going to have both my "MEKANISK"-logo on the PCBs, along with the 1upkeyboards logo, because they decided to dive in and save our colour MOQ. I really appericate what they do to help all of us, not just me with this group buy.


As many of you know, I only invoice after I have all the quotes and invoices from the factories so the money leave me immediately.
