[IC] Frost Pandas and Aura Tactile Stems
« on: Tue, 11 May 2021, 22:47:54 »

Title Photo

Hi everyone, Jefff from JLabs here, this is the IC post for the Frost Panda project.

Specs:
  • Manufactured by BSUN
  • 5 Pin
  • First-ever full Nylon PA66 Panda housings
  • Consistently light application of factory lube, which can be lubed over with little effort. The factory lube helps minimize the leaf ping often found in Panda housings.
  • Two stem options:
Long-Pole Linear Stem (Black POM, 13.5mm long, which is 1mm longer than the standard Panda linear stem)
JLabs "Aura" Long-Pole Tactile Stem (Translucent POM, 13.55mm long, which is .1mm shorter than Halo stems
Aura Stems will also be sold seperately as an in-stock item.

Status:
I'll be sending prototype units to content creators soon.

Info:
  • NA vendor will be JLabs, and I'm currently in the process of determining the other vendors.
  • You can get updates by joining the discord server, discord.io/jlabs

Will the aura stems be high tactility? Or low tactility?

These stems will be high tactility, with a P profile bump.

Nylon housings are real nice, great choice.

I always love options to buy standalone stems. Any chance you’d consider offering long-pole linear stems as standalone too, maybe in a future project? I’m 99% sure there’s a market for it. The linear meta of adding NK Cream/Kailh Linear stems to everything is ridiculous and ridiculously expensive tbh  :-X

Actually, yes, that might end up happening!

Filled the IC, might as well share my thoughts. I'm not interested in the stock switches - not because I hate the idea, full nylon is always welcome imho - because I've got so many switches lying around, some of them of the Panda persuasion. I'm sure there will be some people interested, but I wholeheartedly believe you can and should run a GB with the Aura Tactile Stems alone even before they become in-stock parts. I'm willing to bet that there's considerable demand for Halo-esque/tactile long-poled stems alongside a keen interest in minimizing expense and waste in this hobby, so I'm pretty confident in the numbers if your choose to do so.

Cool looking forward to it :)
EDIT: Everything I say definitely applies to the linear stem as well.

Navy is most certainly not a good color to write GH posts in. I don't agree with you on long poles, tactility, and browns, but I will definitely embed an image.
