If used ones have been selling in the $350-450 range, a new one should command at least a $50 premium.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Price is gonna go up anyway (already gone up to $182.50).

I'd buy it myself if I could afford it!

I doubt it. I just meant that when the price goes over about 4X the price of a standard M, a few hours at the work bench is not so bad.

It looks like it could possibly be a refurb like Dork mentioned. It's missing a rubber "foot" on the top right and there is a small ding in the case just above the retractable "foot" on the right. Plus, that is weird that it has a label on top of the original.

Okay, I think I need to sell one of mine now. It's up to $430 now. How much does Ebay charge, 10%?

They have a sliding scale with a lot of variables, but that is not too far off. Auction is cheaper than fixed price, shorter time is cheaper than longer time. Reserve is stupid and costs extra.

I recommend a "reverse auction" where you start at a very high fixed price and drop it by 10% every so often until you sell.

He relisted it:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/131049138663

Listing text is the same with the added comment:

"Item had to be relisted due to High Bidder NOT planning on paying for item. Serious Bidders only Please."

How did he know that the buyer was not planning on paying for the item? Is he a mind-reader?
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

I wondered when that was going to happen. It was very suspicious that it shot up so high and so fast. It's all a little fishy isn't it FH? (rhetorical)

He could have contacted the high bidder while the auction was still going.

However, if the auction wasn't over he could have just cancelled the high bidder's bid.   The story as is does not make a lot of sense, especially when he had two bids over $500.

It's possible he had a friend bidding it up.

Shill bidding only works if you back off before the closing bell.
